【10/2 USD/JPY Scalping Points】
Thanks for your hard work! Now, let's do USD/JPY scalping again this evening!
First, from today’s Tokyo session overview.
Currently, USD/JPY is around 157.75. This morning it started around 158.05, but during the Tokyo session CPI exceeded expectations and the yen strengthened gradually. However, it didn’t drop sharply as there seemed to be some dip-buying activity.
Tonight is the US employment report! Until the release, I think bold trading will be avoided. Perhaps only large-position adjustments.
USD/JPY is likely to hand over to overseas trading with about a 30-pip drop from the morning level.
Now, here are tonight’s USD/JPY scalping points (my personal notes).
● Movement around the London market open near 16:00
● Movement after the U.S. employment data release at 21:30
● Movement near the New York market open (Dow opens at 22:30)
—–
Other notes…
・Be mindful of yen-weakening remarks from Japan and the U.S.
・Be wary of headlines related to the Strait of Hormuz
—–
Tonight’s 1-minute chart scalping strategy targets the movements around the London and New York market opens, and the movement after the 21:30 U.S. employment data release. For users of the “1-minute Scalping Club,” handling as per theory should be fine. Let’s win steadily and have a good weekend.
Also, if you’re aiming to short with the “15-minute Scalping Strategy,” wait for a slight pullback to around 158.00–158.10 and then chase downward. Aiming for large-position adjustments before major indicators.
Now, the overseas session will begin shortly!
Also,We were honored to have Gogojan come all the way to my office for an interview about “Scalping.” I spoke a little, so please take a look when you have time.

Scalping tends to be perceived as having small profit margins with 24-hour opportunities, but that is not the case. By targeting times when volatility is relatively high, you can significantly reduce the difficulty of trading.
The times I target are around the London market open and the New York market open.
・London market open time (16:00 in US daylight time / 17:00 in US standard time)
・New York market open time (22:00 in US daylight time / 23:00 in US standard time)
Even immediately after U.S. indicators/events publish, volatility rises and opportunities increase. However, in the minutes just after the release, spreads may widen, so it is essential to go in only after they return to normal spreads.
Always check the U.S. indicators/event schedule in advance on the websites of brokers and FX firms. Knowing when opportunities arise helps you accumulate profits efficiently.
Also, absolutely avoid positioning right before U.S. indicators/events. If you go against it, you’ll be wiped out in an instant. Careless mistakes are unacceptable, absolutely.
U.S. indicators/event schedules can be checked on each brokerage or FX company’s website, etc.
Of course there are other points besides these three, but I’ve talked about the minimum points you should keep in mind when scalping USD/JPY.
