【9/30 USD/JPY Scalping Points】
Thank you for your hard work! Alright, let's do USD/JPY scalping again tonight!
First, the overview of Tokyo time today.
Currently USD/JPY is around 157.20. This morning, USD/JPY started around 157.30, but during Tokyo time, perhaps due to caution against verbal interventions by the US and Japanese governments (there are no headlines that look relevant for now), it dropped to around 156.40 (today’s Tokyo low) just after 11:00 Japan time.
End of month and end of quarter, and with the US personal income data due tonight, large position adjustments may have occurred as well.
Nevertheless, after that, the decline was bought in and the Tokyo move turned into a “false breakout” in Tokyo as well. It’s hard to determine a clear direction, but having volatility is a good thing.
USD/JPY is likely to hand over to overseas time around roughly the same level as in the morning.
Today is the end of month/end of quarter flow, and there is a high chance of volatility due to major US indicators. Prepare for overseas time!
Now, the points for tonight’s USD/JPY scalping (my diary).
● Movements around 16:00 London market open
● Movements after 21:15 following the US ADP Employment Report
● Movements after 21:30 following the US Personal Income and US Q2 GDP
● Movements near 22:00 around the New York market open (Dow opens at 22:30)

Other notes ..
・There is a remark by US Fed member Cook at 28:25
・Be careful about statements from Japan and the US attempting to curb yen weakness
・Watch headlines related to the Hormuz Strait

Tonight’s “1-minute chart scalping strategy” targets movements around the London and New York market opens, and the movements after 21:15 ADP, and after 21:30 Personal Income and Q2 GDP. For members of the “1-minute Scalping Club,” following the theory should be fine. If the end-of-month/end-of-quarter flow provides a clear direction, ride it.
Also, the shorts in the “15-minute Scalping Strategy” are likely to see a Tokyo-time drop of about 1 yen turning into a “false breakout” to confirm dollar buying demand, so pushing positions aggressively may not be warranted. Tonight, I will focus on the safe route with “1-minute Scalping.”
Now the overseas session is about to begin!
Also,I was interviewed by Gogojangsan at my office about “scalping.” I spoke a little, so please take a look when you have time.

Scalping has a small potential profit, so it’s easy to think there are 24-hour opportunities, but that’s not the case. By targeting periods with higher volatility, you can significantly reduce the difficulty of trading.
The time zones I target are around the London market open and around the New York market open.
・London market open time (UTC: 16:00 in US daylight time / 17:00 in US standard time)
・New York market open time (UTC: 22:00 in US daylight time / 23:00 in US standard time)
Even immediately after US indicators/events are released, volatility increases and there are many opportunities. However, in the first few minutes after the release, spreads can widen, so the rule is to enter only after the spread returns to normal.
Always check the US indicators/events schedule in advance. Knowing the time windows when opportunities arise helps you accumulate profits efficiently.
Also, avoid positioning immediately before US indicators/events. If you go against them, it’s hopeless. You can be taken to your stop-loss in an instant. Carelessness is a no-go, absolutely.
US indicators/events schedules can be checked on the websites of each securities/FX broker.
Of course there are many other points besides the above three, but I’ve talked about the essential points to keep in mind when scalping USD/JPY.

In fact, I have completely released one of my trading methods, “15-minute Scalping,” for free. I hope it can be of some help (completely free).
