[September 28 Dollar/Canada 4-hour chart] Defense-focused to survive? My real failures and rules
Hello, I’m oukanoakari (All-Mighty) ✨
To get straight to the point. The most important thing to survive in FX is not to make profits, but "defense power" ?️
Watching today's video, I deeply resonate because the feelings and trading philosophy I have cherished for a long time are brilliantly verbalized.
As you continue trading FX, do you have these worries?
You keep searching for the “absolutely winning method” for the next time
You panic when the price moves against you right after you enter
You close with a small profit, causing losses to grow larger
I understand it painfully. I used to be a perfectionist who thought, “I will predict the market perfectly!” Believing my own forecast too much, I had bitter experiences of delaying stop-losses and burning through capital.
But after realizing the fact that “no one can read the market,” I became dramatically steadier. Today, using the September 28 USD/CAD (4-hour chart) trade as an example, I’ll share my real way of fighting. ☕️

1. The overwhelmingly strong defense: “waiting”?️
Normally, I rely on the four-hour timeframe to overwhelmingly “wait,” which is my strength.
Because it is impossible to predict market movements 100%. If you try to predict, your mental state collapses when you’re wrong.
Instead of trying to predict, the key is to pre-design a setup that avoids fatal damage no matter how the market moves. This is the greatest defense.
2. Reducing urgency through risk diversification?
So, concretely, how can you increase defense power? The answer is “risk diversification.”
In the September 28 USD/CAD (4-hour) trade, I did not invest all my capital at once.
Assume the price will move against you from the start
Place limit orders for entry in three portions
Dividing funds lets you stay calm even with a bit of drawdown. It’s like risk hedging in a business with multiple pillars rather than putting all your wealth into one venture ✨
3. Clear rules not to be greedy?
Even when locking in profits, it’s important not to be greedy.
In USD/CAD on September 28, I decided to close everything when RSI (a measure of market heat) touches the 50% level.
Letting go of the greed that “it may extend further,” I take profits at the predetermined point. I don’t gamble by aiming for the peak or trough.
4. Not a casino, but sincere trading?
FX can become gambling with a single misstep. But I don’t want to turn FX into a casino.
No trader is perfect. I, too, have a weakness that makes me susceptible to perfectionist traps. That’s why I bind myself with rules and keep finding ways to strengthen defense.
I want to sincerely face the market, manage risk properly, and increase the number of traders who “survive.” That’s why I share my thoughts.
This week as well, let’s survive in the world of the market together—without rushing or being greedy!
Thank you for reading to the end ✨ If you could relate even a little to this idea of prioritizing defense, please also take a look at my past activities and my usual approach to the market.
