[9/25 USD/JPY Scalping Points]
Good work today! Alright, let’s scalp USD/JPY again tonight!
First, today’s Tokyo session overview.
USD/JPY is currently around 158.15. It started around 158.90 this morning, but fell during Tokyo hours due to yen-strength jawboning from Finance Minister Katayama and Economic and Fiscal Policy Minister Jonai.
Specifically, Katayama said “US President Trump expressed concern about yen weakness,” and Jonai said “This is not an era for monetary easing.” Yesterday’s overseas gains have been completely retraced.
It’s only verbal intervention, so I don’t think it will keep digging lower. Will the European/London crowd buy the dip afterward?
USD/JPY looks set to hand over to the overseas session down about 75 sen from the morning level.
Now, tonight’s USD/JPY scalping points (my memo).
● Around 16:00 at the London market open
● Moves after the 21:30 release of US Durable Goods Orders
● Around 22:00 at the New York market open (Dow opens at 22:30)
● Moves after the 23:00 release of the University of Michigan Consumer Sentiment Index

For tonight’s 1-minute scalping, I think the targets will be the moves around each market’s open, and the action after the 21:30 US Durable Goods Orders and 23:00 University of Michigan Consumer Sentiment releases. Users of the “1-Minute Scalping Club” should have no issues if you execute by the book.
Also, if you’re aiming for shorts with the 15-minute scalping strategy, consider waiting for a small pullback and then selling once it sets up below the 158.50–60 area, and then chase it lower.
The overseas session is about to begin!
Also,Mr. GogoJungle came a long way to visit my office and interviewed me about scalping. I humbly talked a bit, so please watch it when you have time.

Because the target profit per trade in scalping is small, it’s often thought there are chances 24 hours a day, but that’s not true. By focusing on time windows with sufficient volatility, you can dramatically reduce trading difficulty.
The time windows I target are around the London market open and the New York market open.
- London market open time (16:00 during US Daylight Time / 17:00 during US Standard Time)
- New York market open time (22:00 during US Daylight Time / 23:00 during US Standard Time)
Right after US data/events, volatility also increases and there are many opportunities. However, spreads can widen in the first few minutes after a release, so the rule is to always wait until spreads return to normal before entering.
Always check the US data/event schedule in advance. Knowing when opportunities are likely to appear will help you efficiently stack profits.
Also, absolutely avoid taking positions right before US data/event releases. If it goes against you, it’ll be brutal—you can be taken to your stop-loss in an instant. Careless mistakes are a strict no.
You can check the US data/event schedule on the websites of each securities company/FX broker.
Of course, there are many points beyond the three above, but I’ve discussed the minimum you should keep in mind when scalping USD/JPY.

Actually, I’m publishing one of my trading methods, the “15-Minute Scalping,” completely free. I hope it helps, even if just a little. (It’s totally free.)

I’m also sharing my main trading method, the “1-Minute Scalping,” on the page below, so check it out if you’re interested. (Sorry—this one is paid.)
Consider it if you’re aiming even higher.
