【9/23 USD/JPY Scalping Points】
Good job today! Now let's tackle USD/JPY scalping again tonight!
First, the Tokyo time overview for today.
Currently USD/JPY is around 157.70. This morning it started around 157.35, but during Tokyo time, after last weekend's Bank of Japan rate-check news caused a selloff, the rebound market continued and has moved back up into the upper 157s.
There was a sharp drop in London time yesterday as well, but it seems that pullbacks are being bought. The USD/JPY is expected to pass the early level and move into overseas hours with about a 35-pip rise from the morning level.
After this, will European and London traders test the 158 level where the rate-check news occurred? Hmm (an approximate 50-pip spike). If a spike within 50 pips appears, it might be okay to carefully add long positions.
Now, here are the points for tonight's USD/JPY scalping (my personal notes).
● Movements near the 16:00 London market open
● Movements near the 22:00 New York market open (Dow opens at 22:30)
● Movements after the 22:45 “US manufacturing PMI” release

Other notes..
・There is a “PMI release rush” across European countries
・At 23:05 there will be a statement by a member of the US Federal Reserve
・Be careful of headlines related to the Hormuz Strait

Tonight’s “1-minute chart scalping” will target moves around each market open and the movements after the 22:45 PMI release. For users of the “1-minute scalping club,” handling according to the theory should be fine.
Also, the shorts in the “15-minute scalping strategy” are not advisable, as the rebound from the BoJ rate-check news is ongoing. Tonight I want to focus firmly on “1-minute scalping.”
Now, the overseas session is about to begin!
Also,Gogojungle.com kindly visited my office from afar to interview me about “scalping.” I spoke a little, so please check it out when you have time.
I’m the only one with a live-action thumbnail… how embarrassing… (laughs)https://www.gogojungle.co.jp/finance/navi/articles/124690
Because scalping targets small profit margins, it may seem like there are 24-hour opportunities, but that is not the case. Focusing on periods with relatively high volatility can significantly reduce the difficulty of trading.
The times I target are around the London market open and around the New York market open.
・London market open time (16:00 during US daylight saving time / 17:00 during US standard time)
・New York market open time (22:00 during US daylight saving time / 23:00 during US standard time)
There is also high volatility and many opportunities immediately after U.S. indicators/events are released. However, in the first few minutes after the release, spreads may widen, so the rule is to act only after spreads return to normal.
Please check the U.S. indicators/events schedule in advance on the websites of brokers and FX providers. Knowing the times when opportunities may arise helps you accumulate profits efficiently.
Also, positioning immediately before the release of U.S. indicators/events should be avoided at all costs. If prices move against you, you could be taken to the loss-cut line in an instant. Careless mistakes are not acceptable, absolutely.
The U.S. indicators/events schedule can be checked on each brokerage firm’s or FX provider’s website.
Of course, there are many other points as well, but I’ve talked about the essential points you should cover when scalping USD/JPY.
Also..
In fact.. one of my trading methods, “15-minute scalping,” is completely freely released. I hope it helps a bit (totally free, you know).
