【9/21 USD/JPY Scalping Points】
Good work everyone! Alright, let's do USD/JPY scalping again tonight!
First, from today's Tokyo time overview.
Currently, USD/JPY is around 157.00. This morning it started around 156.75, but during Tokyo time it traded in a range of about 40 pips with no clear direction.Today is a holiday, so the Tokyo market is closed and it's quiet. As expected, the main action will start from the London market.
Last weekend, reports said the BOJ conducted a rate check, raising the possibility of intervention during the holiday. Interventions right after won’t allow positions to be built, but once the movement settles a bit, there should be more opportunities.
On a personal note, during the Silver Week there are three business days, and I plan to take one day off. If intervention happens on that day... I would cry...
USD/JPY is likely to hand over to overseas hours with about 25 pips higher from the morning level.
Now, here are tonight's USD/JPY scalping points (my personal notes).
● Movements near the 16:00 London market open
● Movements near the 22:00 New York market open (Dow opens at 22:30)
—–
Other notes..
・There will be a statement by Christine Lagarde, ECB President, at 24:00
・Be careful of headlines related to the Hormuz Strait

Tonight's "1-minute chart scalping strategy" has no major US indicators or events scheduled, so we'll likely focus on moves around market open. For users of the "1-minute Scalping Club," handling as per theory should be fine. May this week also see movement in USD/JPY!
Also, if you're aiming for short positions with the "15-minute Scalping Strategy," wait for a bit of a pullback to around 157.50–157.60 or lower before chasing downward.
Now, the overseas session is about to start!
Also,Gogijungle.com kindly visited my office all the way from far away and conducted an interview about “Scalping.” I spoke a little, so please take a look when you have a moment.
I'm the only one with a live-action thumbnail... so embarrassing.. (laughs)https://www.gogojungle.co.jp/finance/navi/articles/124690
Scalping tends to be perceived as having small profit margins with 24-hour opportunities, but that isn’t the case. By targeting periods with relatively high volatility, you can significantly reduce the difficulty of trading.
The times I target are around the London market open and around the New York market open.
・London market open time (UTC-4 in US daylight time 16:00 / UTC-5 in US standard time 17:00)
・New York market open time (UTC-4 in US daylight time 22:00 / UTC-5 in US standard time 23:00)
Even immediately after US indicators/events, volatility rises and opportunities are plentiful. However, in the minutes right after the release, spreads can widen, so the rule is to act only after spreads return to normal.
Please check the US indicators/events schedule in advance. Knowing when opportunities will come helps you accumulate profits efficiently.
Also, avoid positioning just before US indicators/events. If you go against it, you’ll be overwhelmed. You can lose your entire stop-loss in an instant. Careless mistakes are unacceptable, absolutely.
US indicators/events schedules can be checked on each brokerage or FX provider's website.
Of course there are other points, but I’ve explained the minimum points you should keep in mind when scalping USD/JPY.
