Decide days off in advance: set days in the week when you do not touch the tools
Last winter, I kept opening the screen for twenty-three days in a row.
On the twenty-fourth morning, the moment I opened it, nothing stuck in my head.
...Huh, what was I looking at again?
Even though it was the same screen, everything felt unraveled in meaning.
I had no awareness of being tired at that point, you know.
I will write down what I resolved on that morning as it is.
What I stopped was not trying hard, but opening it every day.
Good evening!
This is Masashi ^^
What I decided this time is to have one day per week where I do not touch tools or the screen at all.
I fixed the rest day by the day of the week, not by how I’m feeling.
If I decided by mood, I would rest only on bad days, which doesn’t work well.
After trying it for three months, the presence or absence of this one day sped up the following week’s decisions.
Twenty-fourth morning, I begin with the story that the same screen’s meaning had all unraveled.
✅ Up to the twenty-third day, I was in perfect form
Back then I thought opening it every day was a good thing.
The strongest feeling was that I didn’t want to miss anything.
In fact, opening it daily makes me more aware of the finer movements.
The more details I knew, the faster my judgments felt.
Looking back now, what had become faster wasn’t my judgment but only my hands.
The checking process was getting shorter day by day.
From about day ten, I stopped writing down the position.
From about day fifteen, I stopped checking the acceptable range as well.
When you do it daily, you feel you can remember it without writing it down.
And on the twenty-fourth day, I realized there were things I didn’t remember.
What was in my head wasn’t the procedure but just the impression of recent price moves.
This was also the period when I felt the most confident. That’s the scary part.
✅ When you do it every day, you feel you can remember without writing it down.
What felt fast wasn’t my judgment but my hands, and the checking process grew shorter day by day.
? Fatigue can shave off the content of judgment first
When you’re tired, concentration wanes, which is easy to understand.
But what actually happened was a little different.
Concentration didn’t break. I was still watching the screen properly.
What wore down was the part after looking, the thinking afterward.
You look, you think you know the pattern, and you move on as is.
Only the thinking step quietly fell away.
I couldn’t notice this at all by myself.
There’s a sense of doing it because you feel you’re actually looking at the screen.
Moreover, on days when it’s dropped out, there’s no doubt, so you feel good.
I misread the pleasant mood as being an ease in performance.
That’s why I thought resting by mood wouldn’t work.
? The thing that can be shaved off isn’t the focus, but the thinking process after looking.
On days when it’s missing, there’s less doubt, so the mood feels better. This is a common misreading.
? Tools make it harder to take days off
Does bringing in new tools make it harder to create a rest day?
Actually, I think that tends to happen.
In the early days after adding something, the urge to view the displays is strong.
If you miss the days when it’s displayed, you feel you’ve lost out.
If you open daily, you certainly won’t miss anything.
But at the same time, the thinking process I wrote about earlier gets shaved away day by day.
Since the options are visible daily, the feeling of having checked updates every day also renews daily.
In my case, the first month with the tool was the month with the longest consecutive days.
It became more convenient, yet the fatigue increased.
So now I decide rest days earlier when I’ve added a tool.
If I decide after adding it, it won’t get decided.
? While it’s more convenient, fatigue still increased. Because misses dropped to zero.
When you add a tool, decide on rest days earlier. You can’t decide after adding it.
? Fix the days by weekday and write it on paper
What I chose wasn’t a day when the market doesn’t move.
It was the weekday when my own schedule is most full.
Since I knew I wouldn’t be able to focus that day anyway, I decided from the start not to look at it.
Once decided, I posted it on my desk.
[Rest Day: Thursday / Do not touch the screen or the apps / Turn off notifications] This one line.
I include turning off notifications because if it rings you’ll end up opening it anyway.
During the first two weeks, I was quite antsy.
On days when there was big movement, honestly I felt it was a waste.
However, that feeling faded around the third week.
By the time it faded, the next Thursday morning proved to be the fastest in judgment.
The day after a rest, I don’t skip what I should write the next day.
? Rest days should be chosen by the day of the week when my schedule is tight, not by non-movement。
Example: [Rest Day: Thursday / Do not touch the screen or the apps / Turn off notifications]
? How I actually use it after a rest day
On the day after resting, I already have what to do planned.
Don’t go looking at candidates right away.
First, reread what you wrote on the last day before resting.
Then write a new line for today.
【Previous: wait for a return / Today: confirm from the position】This is the pattern.
If you connect yesterday and today, the sense of being interrupted by the rest day disappears.
After that, only then do you open the display.
With this order, there’s no jumping back in after a break.
Before, I would try to recover the day I skipped.
When I tried to recover, the amount often grew.
It was more dangerous after a rest day than resting itself.
So I prioritize deciding the sequence for the next morning over how to spend the rest day.
? It’s the rest day after rest that was more dangerous than resting itself.
Example: 【Previous: wait for a return / Today: confirm from the position】

⚠ I will only decide the conditions under which you may move the rest day
Even though I say fixed, there are weeks you cannot move.
So I decided on one condition under which you may move it.
Move it to another day within the same week. Do not reduce the number of rest days.
In other words, it’s okay to move Thursday to Friday this week.
I do not allow skipping a week entirely.
If you don’t draw this line, rest days disappear from the busiest weeks first.
And it’s the busiest weeks that need rest the most.
In my first month I also skipped once by saying just this week.
The following week, the consecutive days topped ten again.
Once you skip, it’s hard to revert it.
So moving it is fine, deleting it is not. This is how it’s settled.
⚠ It’s fine to move, but not to delete. Because busy weeks disappear first.
Move condition: Move to another day in the same week. Do not reduce the week’s rest days.
? I did not create a system that forces daily opening
When making Golden Line Sniper AI, I had a rule.
Do not create a system that makes you lose if you don’t check in daily.
If you increase the number of candidate options, it’s easy to create a reason to open it.
But that only consumes the user’s time with the tool.
Therefore I drew the line about adoption strictly.
I tested more than thirty-five ideas, and only less than a third remained.
Most of what I dropped would increase the frequency but reduce quality.
The verification reports are 626 official and 496 raw data left.
I want you to verify before deciding, so I keep it this way.
Also, as noted in the guide, simply a pointing arrow won’t guarantee victory.
The parts you choose and the parts you end are up to the user.
Because it remains with the user’s head in a healthy state, that matters more.
? I didn’t make it so you must stay glued daily.
Real numbers from development: tested ideas over 35 / adoption under 30% / 626 official reports and 496 raw data
⭕ For those who don’t fit this approach
Finally, I’ll note cases where it might not suit you.
If you look at the screen at a fixed time every day, this discussion isn’t for you.
That’s because this system isn’t built to accumulate fatigue continuously.
Also, if you cannot tolerate missing even one thing, it’s not suitable for you.
Rest days will inevitably cause you to miss something.
The tool also cannot promise future gains.
In an uncoordinated period, some months may stay flat.
It isn’t something that tells you where to enter.
Initially, try with a practice account or a small amount so you can see how it moves and costs.
Then, before you input, write one rest day on paper and keep it there.
If you wait until after adding it, you won’t decide it anyway.
⭕ Rest days will definitely cause you to miss something. Still, it’s worth building.
What cannot be done: deciding where to enter / guaranteeing future performance
? Summary: Decide rest days by weekday, not by mood
When I was opening for twenty-three days in a row, I thought I was in perfect form.
What was actually shaved off wasn’t concentration, but the thinking after looking.
So I fixed the rest days by weekday and posted it. The real example is [Rest Day: Thursday / Do not touch the screen or the apps / Turn off notifications].
The point to look at isn’t whether the market moves on a given day, but whether my schedule is full on that weekday.
On the morning after a rest, I reread the previous line before looking at candidates. The more you try to recover, the larger the amount tends to be.
Tools aren’t for forcing daily sticking. Because the parts to choose and finish remain, I want to use it with a clear mind.
If you find you’ve opened for ten days straight, try deciding one rest day for next week^^
