Crude oil breaks through 100 dollars. This also relates to the dollar-yen and gold
On September 9, tensions between the United States and Iran intensified again, Brent crude rose to $101.21.
The backdrop is attacks on ships around the Hormuz Strait. Shipping volumes are also decreasing, and concerns about crude supply are growing further.
The trend is simple.
Deterioration of Middle East tensions
→ Crude rise
→ Inflation
→ Re-acceleration of inflation
→ Impact on the Fed's interest rate policy
→ Movements in USD/JPY and gold
The biggest focus going forward is whether crude stabilizes in the 100-dollar range.
If you trade USD/JPY and gold, for a while you should not only look at the charts but also keep an eye on Middle East tensions and oil prices.
