[Validation Week 2] The Result of Running the Trendy "BIGBANG" for 24 Hours and the Limits of the "Raging Horse"
My completely open-source running EA "Loop-Turnaround_EA" used for the 24-hour unlimited forward test of 『BIGBANG』, and I will openly disclose the real results for the second week (8/31–9/5) without any bias.
■ Forward test results at the end of the second week (2 weeks total)
- Account: Rakuten Securities MT4 demo account
- Lot size: approximately 170–187 lots due to money management function
- Realized P/L: +688,782 yen
- Floating P/L: -253,430 yen (holding 1 position)
- Equity: 9,106,096 yen (about +5.16 hundred thousand yen from the initial)
- Win rate: 64.29% (9 wins 5 losses / 14 trades)
- Profit Factor (PF): 2.89
- Maximum drawdown: 306,366 yen (3.52%)
■ Proof of a wild horse that repeatedly delivers massive profits and sudden drops
In the second week, as predicted last week, it clearly caught the midweek trend and achieved two consecutive profit-taking events of about 190,000 yen, showing overwhelming explosive power.
Realized P/L jumped past +680,000 yen, and PF rose to 2.89.
However, as the week approached and the market entered a range, the current situation turned into a dramatic loss of -253,430 yen floating.
This is precisely the “limit of 24-hour full operation.”
While the trend market’s attacking power is tremendous, once caught in a range it carries the constant risk of giving back profits.
■ Next week, phase 2 (time window restrictions) will finally start
No matter how advanced the tools are, 24-hour operation cannot avoid the mispricings (the deadly time zone) in real-time thin markets.
Therefore next week, I will finally deploy my EA “Loop-Turnaround_EA” with the shield of a ‘time-window restriction function.’
We will move to phase 2, operating only during the most promising Tokyo time open window from 09:00 to 11:00, to completely stop unnecessary hits by eliminating wasted trades, based on the analysis tool ‘Core’.
How beautifully will the armed horse with a shield draw a steadily rising asset curve?
Please look forward to the new test results from next week!
