【9/2 Dollar/Yen Scalp Points】
Good work everyone! Let’s go with USD/JPY scalping again tonight!
First, the overview for Tokyo time today.
Currently USD/JPY is around 159.50. This morning USD/JPY started around 160.15, but during Tokyo time it rose to around 160.40 after 11:00 JST, and then subsequently turned downward.
Could the factors be Takata, a hawkish member of the Bank of Japan's Policy Board, and the alert for intervention around the 160 level? However, the selling has been too persistent, so stealth intervention might also be a possibility.
Anyway, I think the upside pressure on USD/JPY has become considerably heavier today.
USD/JPY is likely to hand over to the overseas session with a drop of about 65 pips from the morning level.
Now, the points for USD/JPY scalping tonight (my memo).
● Movements near the London market open around 16:00
● Movements after the U.S. ADP employment report at 21:15
● Movements near the New York market open around 22:00 (Dow opens at 22:30)

Other notes...
・Be mindful of headlines related to currency intervention
・Be mindful of headlines related to Middle East developments

Tonight’s “1-minute chart scalping” will likely target movements around each market open and the movement after the 21:15 U.S. ADP report. For users of the “1-minute Scalping Club,” handling it according to the theory should be fine.
Also, if you’re aiming for shorts with the “15-minute chart scalping strategy,” wait for a small rebound and be able to sell around the 159.90–160.00 range. With the Tokyo time downturn, the upside seems heavy, so target retracements for selling on rallies.
Now, the overseas session is about to start!
Scalping tends to be perceived as having small profit margins with continuous 24-hour opportunities, but that is not the case. By targeting periods with relatively high volatility, you can significantly reduce the difficulty of trading.
The timeframes I target are near the London market open and near the New York market open.
・London market open time (16:00 during U.S. daylight time / 17:00 during U.S. standard time)
・New York market open time (22:00 during U.S. daylight time / 23:00 during U.S. standard time)
Volatility is also high right after U.S. indicators and events are released, creating many opportunities. However, in the first few minutes after the release, the spread can widen, so the rule is to always enter after it returns to the normal spread.
Always check the U.S. indicators and events schedule in advance. Knowing when opportunities come around helps you accumulate profits efficiently.
Also, absolutely avoid positioning just before U.S. indicators and events. If you go against it, you’ll be wiped out in an instant. Careless mistakes are unacceptable, absolutely.
The U.S. indicators and events schedule can be checked on the websites of each securities company and FX broker.
Of course, there are many other points besides the three above, but I’ve talked about the essential points you should grasp when scalping USD/JPY.
