【8/26 Dollar-Yen Scalp Points】
Good work today! Now let's do the dollar-yen scalp again tonight!
First, a summary of the Tokyo session for today.
Currently, the dollar-yen is around the 159.00 level. This morning it started around 159.20, but in the Tokyo session the selling of the dollar was dominant, and after 11:00 Japan time it fell to around 158.90 (today's low in Tokyo).
With expectations that the Hormuz Strait reopening is near, the safe-haven dollar buying has eased a bit. However around 159 yen, selling does not continue and it seems to have a solid floor.
From the morning level, the dollar-yen is expected to drop about 20 pips before handing over to overseas trading.
Now, the points for tonight's dollar-yen scalping (my personal notes).
● Movements around the 16:00 London market open
● Movements after the 21:30 release of “U.S. Personal Income” and “U.S. Q2 GDP”
● Movements around the 22:00 New York market open (Dow opens at 22:30)

Other notes…
・Be mindful of headlines related to FX interventions
・Be mindful of headlines related to Middle East tensions

Tonight’s “1-minute chart scalping” will target moves near market opens and the moves after the 21:30 release of the U.S. Personal Income and U.S. Q2 GDP. For users of the “1-minute scalping club,” following the theory should pose no problems.
Also, if you’re aiming for shorts with the “15-minute scalping,” wait for a slight pullback and be able to sell around the 159.20-159.30 level.
Now, the overseas session will begin shortly!
Because scalping aims for small profit margins, it’s easy to think there are opportunities 24 hours a day, but that’s not the case. Targeting periods with higher volatility can significantly reduce the difficulty of trading.
The time windows I target are around the London market open and around the New York market open.
・London market open time (16:00 during U.S. daylight time / 17:00 during U.S. standard time)
・New York market open time (22:00 during U.S. daylight time / 23:00 during U.S. standard time)
After U.S. indicators and events are released, volatility tends to rise and opportunities increase. However, in the few minutes right after the release, spreads can widen, so the rule is to enter only after spreads return to normal.
Please always check the U.S. indicators and events schedule beforehand. Knowing when opportunities will arise helps you accumulate profits efficiently.
Also, absolutely avoid positioning right before U.S. indicators or events are released. If you go against them, you’ll be wiped out in an instant. Careless mistakes are not acceptable, absolutely not.
U.S. indicators and events schedules can be checked on each brokerage and FX provider’s website.
Of course there are many other points besides the three above, but I’ve talked about the minimum points you should keep in mind when scalping the dollar-yen.

Actually… one of my trading methods, the “15-minute chart scalping,” is released completely for free. I hope it can be of some help (completely free, you know).

Also, on the following page I’ve published my main trading method, the “1-minute chart scalping,” so please check it out if you’re interested. (Sorry… this one is paid…)
If you’re aiming higher, please consider it.
