[8/21] "Even at the stretched end, base it on evidence."
Did you feel left behind when you looked at today’s GOLD?
I feel the same. That’s why today I’m thinking with a patient, pullback-based approach.
I have organized the basis for this.
Today's Market Situation
Gold has risen to around $4,536 now, having already broken above yesterday’s high of $4,524. On the hourly chart, the EMA20 (which indicates short-term price movement) remains in an ascending arrangement, and the RSI (an indicator of overbought/oversold) stays around 65 at a consistently high level. In short, the momentum remains strong, and I see the uptrend continuing firmly.

If the upward movement continues without forming a pullback, I view that the trend may continue further. On the other hand, if profit-taking selling emerges from the rise so far and the price is pushed back to around $4,455 at the hourly EMA75, I would aim for a rebound from there. I used to, in such strong uptrends, fixate on the highs and miss pullback opportunities. That’s why now I make a point of waiting for the price to pull back to a solid level before deciding.
