The report on gold price outlook is authored weekly by Takaki Kabuki, the president and CEO of Kabushiki Kaisha Investment Daily, a pioneer in astrology-based market analysis and a leading figure in financial cycle analysis.

Last week's New York gold price (near month) closed at 4,437.3 dollars, up 37.6 dollars from the previous week. However, the preceding week had risen by 292.7 dollars, and on the weekly chart it has surpassed the 15-week moving average, indicating that a bottom is nearly in place. In the comment from the week before last, it was stated: “The lower level of 4,000 dollars is a robust support. Yet due to cooperation between the currency markets, from around 164 yen per dollar at month-end to the 155 yen range at the start of the week in Tokyo, the domestic gold market fell sharply from the high of around 22,100 yen on the 30th to temporarily 20,730 yen. Since June 11, the domestic gold market had barely held in the 20,000-yen range due to yen weakness, but it could not withstand this round of coordinated intervention causing a stronger yen, and it fell to its lowest since November of last year. Still, although the U.S. intervention this time was announced as euro selling/yen buying, there appears to be an intent not to push the dollar lower.”
