2026/8/15 Dollar-Yen, Gold, SP500, and Nikkei 225 environment
For verification of behavior, we prepare weekly videos of the USD/JPY price movements.
Dollar/Yen
WeeklyThe trend continues to rise, clearly making higher highs. Since the price broke below the trendline, a sideways to neutral development is expected in the mid term.
Daily & 4-hourIt rebounds without breaking the downside pivot, but it is stopping at a half retracement. In the near term, attention will be on whether it breaks below the added 4-hour line or breaks above the half retracement. Currently, the timing to test buying remains, but if it doesn’t break and time passes, the timing to test lower prices will shift.
Gold
WeeklySince currency value declines are being watched, in the long term gold tends to rise. However, overheating appears to have cooled, and a long-term correction may be underway. The score indicates an upward trend.
Daily & 4-hourThe score also shows upside potential, and there is a possibility of continuing to move higher, but looking at the weekly high/low trajectory, it is hard to say that a full upward move has started, and the scenario aiming for 3500 is not yet off the table. If it pulls back a bit and then breaks above the white line added above, buying could become more likely.
S&P 500
WeeklyIt has surpassed the recent high and the rise is confirmed. Culturally, buying tends to be easier.
Daily & 4-hourLooking at the daily, the formation of a flag seems evident. According to the flag target, it is around 8500. Personally, I plan to take most profits before reaching 8500.
Nikkei 225
WeeklyThe rising trend continues, but it is unclear whether it will jump to the near-term ceiling of 80,000 in one move.
Daily & 4-hourAfter the support-resistance turn, if things go as expected, it will aim for the recent highs. However, since buying momentum is stronger than anticipated, it is unclear whether it will continue higher or pull back; the future development is not yet visible.
