Not from intuition, but from verification. The reason we started the "Indicator Institute"
Introduction
Nice to meet you. We are the Indicator Institute.
In this article, we will share the process of creating indicators (tools that display signals) used in FX and gold (XAUUSD) and verifying their effectiveness against actual price movement data.
For our milestone first article, we will not discuss products or methods themselves, but rather the background of why we decided to start this institute.
One question that sparked it all
When searching for indicators or trading methods, you often see phrases like “win rate ○%” or “if you use this, you’ll win,” on social media or sales pages.
Whenever we see such phrases, a common question always rises in us.
Which data period was used to measure that number? Are we only picking the periods that happened to perform well? Are we re-selecting “settings that look good” to suit us afterward?
Is it right to recommend something to others without honestly answering these questions ourselves? This became the primary motivation for starting this institute.
Anyone can decide “this seems effective” based on a hunch or vague sense. However, we had always felt uneasy about turning that into reality without the verification process.

What the name “Indicator Institute” carries
This name carries one particular stance.
Rather than ending with a mere hunch or feeling, we want to carefully verify using actual price movement data, and accumulate this as a normal, everyday practice.
Specifically, we want to value the following:
- To honestly report not only good results but also when things don’t go well
- To avoid ending with “feels good,” and instead verify with actual data within our means
- To refrain from using phrases that overstate certainty like “will surely win” or “will absolutely make profit”
Honestly, these aren’t special efforts; they’re humble, time-consuming tasks. Yet we believe that this accumulation is the most reliable path to creating something that can be relied upon for a long time.

What we will convey in this article going forward
From next time onward, for a while we will share educational content about market view and indicator thinking, using as few technical terms as possible.
In the future, we also plan to introduce indicators that have been thoroughly tested over time. However, when and in what form that will happen cannot be promised at this stage. It depends on the results of the verifications.
Although this institute has just begun, we want to honestly convey both what has gone well and what hasn’t as we accumulate experience.

Disclaimer
Finally, an important note:
- The content we publish here does not recommend specific buying or selling or provide investment advice. It is for information sharing only.
- Verification results based on past data do not guarantee the same results in the future. Markets constantly change.
- Whether you actually execute trades is your own responsibility.
- The indicators and tools introduced in the future are materials for market analysis and do not guarantee profits simply by using them.
With these considerations in mind, we would be happy if you resonate with our stance of “valuing verification over guesswork.”
Indicator Institute will continue to share the verification process and market thinking. If you're interested, please also visit the Indicator Institute product page.
This “commitment to verification” stance extends not only to signal-type indicators but also to the daily discretionary trading by the “useful tools” series that make trading a bit easier.
Four usable tools born from verification
Currently, under the IKLab brand, we have released the following four items. None were created on a whim; they were released after internal verification and real-world testing.
- Auto-drawing support/resistance + touch alerts + LINE notificationsAn indicator that combines automatic support/resistance drawing and key-level display, touch/break detection, and personal LINE notifications into one tool for display and notification purposes.
- Order-Entry Assist EA (One-Click Ordering)A helper tool that moves entry, stop loss, and take profit lines on the chart and allows ordering with one button. It automates lot sizing and switching between market/limit/stop orders. Orders will only execute with your own button operation.
- IKLab_ChartSyncA tool that automatically syncs lines, scroll positions, and a simple crosshair across multiple charts. Reduces the effort of redrawing lines in multi-timeframe analysis.
- IKLab_MTFDashboardA tool that displays four indicators—moving averages, RSI, MACD, and Bollinger Bands—across up to five timeframes in a single panel.

All of these are not designed to provide entry arrows or automatic trading (order entry requires your own button operation). They are intended as display and assistive tools to reduce daily charting hassle. They do not recommend specific trades or guarantee profits or win rates.
From next time, we will share each development journey
From next time, we will present, for each of these four tools, why it was created, how to use it, and in what situations it is helpful, based on development records. Like the verification articles, we will describe it not from guesswork but in line with actual development history and specifications.
Indicator Institute will continue to share the verification process and the behind-the-scenes of tool development. If you are curious, please also visit the Indicator Institute product page.
