Good morning everyone.
At the weekend, what was not a Japan-U.S. Joint Committee but a Japan-U.S. joint intervention in the foreign exchange market?
So the USD/JPY has fallen by about 4 yen.
This price is around GW of this year, but around this time every year it moves, so whether it is just a habit or the beginning of the end is unknown.
Well, since it’s backed by the U.S., I pray for another drop of about 10 yen.
I planned to sell USD/JPY for 500,000 units before the weekend London FIX and set the stop
4 yen higher.
I hoped there wouldn’t be a gap up this morning, but since there was no wind, I’ll move the stop to breakeven and wait to be hunted.
I’d like the price to continue falling through to the end of the year^^
USD/JPY Weekly
I think a moderate view like that is fine.
USD/JPY 4-hour
In the 4-hour chart, perhaps around 15500 in the near term?
That’s fine to think.
Since the red circle has a wick and is rebounding, there are many buyers.
Therefore sellers will target that area, so if it falls I expect 155 as a possible level.
USD/JPY 1-minute
For big traders' scalping users, going long is easy.
In the red square zone, switch between buy and sell; if it becomes a buy, buy, and in ranges like the yellow square, or before that, exit.
If it doesn’t go that far and switch to buy/sell and becomes selling, then judge whether that is a pullback or just a return selling by analyzing highs/lows and volume to decide the trade.
A drop of about 4 yen is not likely to turn into a rollercoaster ride.
Trump is at war ignoring the currency, so who knows if a strong yen rise will happen?
From the 1-minute big trader chart, a near-term rebound might be around 15870.
For now, consider going long around 15800 as a target.
That said, a break below 157 in Tokyo/China is possible, so I want to explore short-break and rebound long entries on past big-trader lines.
