【7/29】“Within the return, there is an answer.”
If I were my old self, I would have rushed to sell as soon as such a pullback occurred.
Now it’s different. I’ll share the reason today.
Today's Market Conditions
Today, GOLD is trading around $4,033. It fell from the previous high near $4,094 and slid to around the previous low near $4,011, then showed a slight rebound. The 1-hour EMA20 (short-term moving average) is trending downward, continuing the downside trend. The RSI (an indicator of overbought/oversold) is around 49 on the 1-hour chart and around 58 on the 15-minute chart, but the higher-timeframe momentum remains downward. In short, there is a short-term rebound, but the overall trend remains bearish.

I view this trend with a somewhat bearish bias. If the price currently near the 1-hour EMA20 (around $4,033) does not stop there and instead retraces back up toward the 1-hour EMA75 (around $4,054), I’ll be watching for a drop from that level. Conversely, if it clearly breaks above and holds above that level, I will shift to a stance that the decline has ended.
In the past, I have entered positions when the current price and a supporting line were too close, only to be swept into a stop-out. Now I always confirm there is a sufficient distance between the reference line and the price before acting.
Today’s Reference Lines
Sell on rallies
Reference zone: $4,050–$4,060 (basis: 1-hour EMA75)
Reference take-profit line: $4,015 / Reference stop-loss line: $4,070
Estimated RR: 2.6
Note: For the rally selling based on the nearby 1-hour EMA20, I’m omitting details since price and zone overlap. For breakouts, since a clear lower limit for take-profit cannot be derived from the input numbers, this is also omitted.
