[July 27 Dollar/Yen Scalping Points]
Thanks for your hard work! Now let's do some USD/JPY scalping again tonight!
First, the Tokyo time overview for today.
Currently, USD/JPY is around 163.60. This morning it started around 163.70, but during Tokyo time, after the ceasefire between the US and Iran, the dollar weakness has been dominant. Crude oil prices have also fallen to the 85 dollar range.
Because the United States may resume attacking Iran soon, there is no reliable safety, but today USD/JPY seems to have a heavy ceiling.
Also, our Prime Minister Kishida is set to hold a press conference at 18:00 on policies including consumption tax cuts. There is anticipation for movements after that as well.
USD/JPY is likely to hand over to overseas time at roughly the same level as in the morning.
Now, the points for tonight's USD/JPY scalping.
● Movements around the London market open near 16:00
● Movements after the US Durable Goods Orders release at 21:30
● Movements near the New York market open around 22:00 (Dow opens at 22:30)

Other notes..
・Kishida's press conference at 18:00
・Be mindful of headlines related to Middle East tensions
・Be mindful of headlines related to government and BOJ interventions

Tonight's "1-minute chart scalping" involves movements around each market open and, although not highly anticipated, the movements after 21:30 US Durable Goods Orders release may be the target. For users of the "1-minute scalping club," handling according to the theory should be fine. Also, Kishida will hold a press conference at 18:00. Movement after the press conference is also to be watched.
Additionally, for the short-only "15-minute scalp" strategy, with the USD weakness favored by the Iran ceasefire, there is a possibility to try it. The entry would be to wait for a bit of a rebound and sell at levels above the mid-163s, perhaps.
Now we will soon begin overseas time!
Because scalping targets small profit margins, it is often thought there are 24-hour opportunities, but that is not the case. By aiming for periods with relatively higher volatility, you can significantly reduce the difficulty of trading.
The time I target is around the London market open and around the New York market open.
・London market open time (16:00 US DST / 17:00 US standard time)
・New York market open time (22:00 US DST / 23:00 US standard time)
After US data or event announcements, volatility also increases and there are many opportunities. However, in the few minutes right after the announcement, spreads may widen, so always enter after the spreads return to normal.
Please always check the US indicators and events schedule in advance. Knowing the times when opportunities will come allows you to accumulate profits efficiently.
Also, positioning immediately before US indicators or events should be avoided at all costs. If you go against them, you may be unable to recover. Careless mistakes are unacceptable, absolutely.
US indicators and events schedules can be checked on the websites of each brokerage and FX broker.
Of course there are other points besides these three, but I have explained the minimum points to keep in mind when scalping USD/JPY.
