[7/24] "The collapsed shape will be observed for now."
GOLD after the plunge, there are things I’d like you to read before going with a contrarian approach.
I used to get burned thinking only about price movement.
Today I’ll organize it from that perspective.
Today's Market Situation
Today GOLD is trading around $4,043. It has fallen sharply from the previous day's high near $4,166 and has declined to around the previous day's low near $4,039. Looking at the 1-hour EMA (moving average), the short-, mid-, and long-term lines are not aligned, and it does not fit the typical rising or falling sequence. The RSI (an indicator of overbought/oversold) is around 32 on the 1-hour chart and around 40 on the 15-minute chart, indicating a relatively low level. In short, the momentum to the downside is strong, but the alignment of the lines is not yet organized.

Today I think it’s better not to decide on a direction. If the EMA alignment cleanly forms into a pattern like “20 < 75 < 200,” I intend to lean more toward a bearish outlook. Conversely, if the 1-hour EMA20 (around $4,065) clearly breaks above and sustains, I plan to change my view to a signal that the decline may be ending.
In the past, even when such line configurations broke, I would decide “it's going down, so sell” and ended up getting caught in a counter-move. Now I’m keeping my judgment on hold until the pattern is clear.
Today’s Reference Lines
Today, since the outlook is not settled, I will skip calculating reference entries. I will provide reassessments once the EMA alignment is organized and the direction becomes clear.
