[9 o'clock intraday trading: FX answer reached through 10 years of testing] Chapter 1: The reason you can’t win is not talent
Good morning. I’m An-chan?
When I see people who are winning in FX,
they say,
“They must have some talent to win.”
There are quite a few people who think that way.
Actually, I used to think the same.
People who win have special talent, and I don’t have that talent.
That’s why I can’t win.
But after continuously examining charts for ten years, I can say this clearly.
If talent alone determined wins and losses, the results of the people who read the same books, watched the same videos, and bought the same courses wouldn’t differ so greatly.
So, what is the difference?
I believe the answer is a matter of “criteria for judgment.”
Every time I open a chart,
“Is it okay to buy here?”
“Is it already too late?”
“Will it go up more?”
These kinds of doubts arise.
That doubt leads to unfounded entries and accumulates losses.
I continued to study and verify for ten years to eliminate this doubt.
There is something I learned through the verification process.
It is,
Winning people do not trade with talent.
They have their own set of judgment criteria.
That’s what it means.
So, I still don’t chase new techniques.
I’m honing one weapon.
When you go to war, do you fight with many weapons?
Rather, mastering one weapon lets you fight without hesitation.
The same goes for the market.
Rather than trying to memorize this and that, I believe that mastering one way of thinking is the most direct path, even if it feels like a detour.
I myself worked as a manager when I was a company employee.
I had a stable salary.
However, somewhere in my heart, I kept thinking, “I don’t want my life to end like this.”
That feeling led me to pursue side income, and I faced failure many times and hit walls repeatedly.
Yet I never stopped verifying.
That’s why I can arrive at one answer now, like this.
FX is not a world where you win with talent.
If you don’t misdirect the direction of your effort, anyone has the potential.
I believe that.
Next time, I would like to talk about my thoughts on why even trend-following can fail, a misconception held by many people, under the heading “Why can’t you win with trend following?”
