Do everything you can to win anyway
Records exist not to be “increased” but to help you “notice” things
The true value of records lies not in quantity, but in the “awareness” you gain from them.
There is a common trap for people who diligently keep trade records. That is,making the purpose to “increase” the recordsitself.
You record every day diligently. The amount of records keeps increasing. You feel satisfied just by that. But, please wait a moment. From those records, are you gaining any “awareness”? Increasing the number of records and learning from them are completely different things.
The true purpose of recording is not to increase the quantity.Through recording, you should become aware of your trades.A record without awareness does not lead to growth, no matter how much is recorded.
The danger of making “recording” the goal
The more earnest people become, the more the act of recording itself tends to become the goal. They are satisfied with the sense of accomplishment of “I recorded today.” The recording, which was originally a means, has secretly become an end in itself.
This is the same structure touched on in previous articles: just being satisfied with taking a screenshot and forgetting to gain anything from it. Recording is a means, not an end.The goal is to gain awareness and improve trading.
Having a large volume of records is not necessarily a good thing. What matters is what you learned from those records. Someone who gains deep awareness from a single record will grow far more than someone who merely accumulates 100 records.
