[7/15] Tonight's USD/JPY scalping points and methods free公開中
Tomizaki of the Trading Office here.
【July 15 Dollar/Yen Scalp Points】
Thank you for your hard work! Now, let's do some USDJPY scalping tonight as well!
First, the overview of the Tokyo session today.
Currently, USD/JPY is around 162.20. This morning it started at around 162.15, but during the Tokyo session it traded with little movement in the low 162s.
Last night, the US CPI slowed more than expected, pushing back expectations for a July rate hike, briefly sending it down to around 161.60, but it has nearly returned to pre-release levels now…
The expectation for a US rate hike this year remains, while the US-Iran situation is unclear, making it difficult to see a clear downside move…
USD/JPY is likely to hand over to overseas trading near the early-morning levels.
Now, the points for tonight's USD/JPY scalping.
● Moves near the London market open at around 16:00
● Moves after the release of the US PPI and the US NY Fed manufacturing index at 21:30
● Moves near the New York market open (Dow opens at 22:30)
● Moves after Chair Powell’s testimony to Congress at 23:00

Other notes…
・News from important figures during trading (21:45: Williams—Speech by the NY Fed President)
・Be cautious of headlines related to BoJ forex interventions and rate hikes
・Be cautious of headlines related to US rate hikes

Tonight's “1-minute scalp” targets moves around each market open, plus after 21:30 US PPI and NY Fed manufacturing index, and after 23:00 Powell’s congressional testimony. For users of the “1-minute scalp club,” handling as per theory should be fine.
Also, the short-only “15-minute scalp” is unlikely to drop much due to expectations for US rate hikes this year and the unclear US-Iran situation, so it’s not advisable to push positions. Tonight, I plan to focus safely on the “1-minute scalp.”
Now, overseas trading is about to start!
Because scalping aims for small profit margins, it may seem there are 24-hour opportunities, but that’s not the case. Targeting periods with higher volatility can significantly reduce the difficulty of trading.
The time periods I target are around the London market open and around the New York market open.
・London market open time (around 16:00 US DST / around 17:00 US standard time)
・New York market open time (around 22:00 US DST / around 23:00 US standard time)
Volatility remains high immediately after US data/events, offering many opportunities. However, in the minutes immediately after the release, the spread can widen, so the rule is to enter only after it returns to the normal spread.
Always check US data/event schedules in advance. Knowing when opportunities will arise helps you accumulate profits efficiently.
Also, avoid positioning immediately before US data/events. If you go against the trend, you can’t be saved. It’s a deal-breaker to make careless errors.
US data/event schedules can be checked on the websites of brokers and FX providers.
Of course, there are many other points as well, but I’ve covered the essential points you should keep in mind when scalping USD/JPY.
