[Episode 10] Is "Daily Trading" Really Necessary?
When I first started FX, I believed that “trading every day” was the shortcut to improvement.
To gain experience, you have to trade by cutting through the numbers.
You must not miss opportunities.
A day without trading was a day you could learn nothing.
That’s what I thought.
However, after testing 22 years of USD/JPY data and building a trading logic, that thinking changed dramatically.
I have never regretted a day I did not trade.
“Doing nothing” is not a passive choice.
In FX, entering a trade is considered action, and refraining from trading is often viewed as doing nothing.
However, from the perspective of validation (testing), it’s a bit different.
You review the chart according to the rules, and
you skip because the conditions are not met.
That is also a legitimate judgment.
Rather, in terms of adhering to the rules, abstaining is as important an action as entering.
