“Is SMC-Signal not available on MT5?”

In the past, we received this kind of inquiry several times about the signal indicator “SMC-Signal” released for MT4.

Thank you for waiting. This time,the MT5 version has been released.

In this article, we will reintroduce what SMC-Signal is for those using MT5.

That was how I felt too. SMC-Signal was created to solve that problem by

“automatically displaying buy/sell arrows at points where SMC foundations overlap.”

In one line,

“A signal indicator that tells entry candidates with arrows based on the SMC way of thinking”.

I previously released an indicator called “SMC-Radar” that automatically drew OB, FVG, BOS/CHoCH, and more.

While it was useful, I received feedback such as:

That was exactly what I felt.

So I created SMC-Signal to assist the next step after drawing — the entry decision itself.

After releasing the MT4 version, I added features and validations, and now ported them to MT5 as-is.

This is the heart of SMC-Signal. When emitting a single signal, the following five foundations“how many overlap”are automatically scored.

Beside the arrows, the score number is displayed, so you can instantly see whether it’s “2 foundations” or “4 overlaps and a strong signal.”

You can filter out weak noise yourself. It’s subtle, but this is the part I like most.

Entry styles vary by person. SMC-Signal detects both

You can switch between “breakout only,” “retetest only,” or “both” to fit your method.

When a signal appears,TP1・TP2・TP3 and SLare automatically calculated and shown as lines. Each line also displaysRisk-Reward Ratio (RR).

Calculation methods include

• Structure-based… targets the most recent swing high/low
• Fixed RR… determined mechanically by ATR × multiplier

You can choose from these. It’s a feature added to reduce the frustration of varying take-profit and stop-loss locations.

No matter how strong the foundations align, trades against the major trend have a poor edge. SMC-Signal automatically obtains the trend direction of the higher timeframe andexcludes signals that go against the trend. When directions align, it also adds to the score mentioned above.

Always display the following information in a chart corner.

• Current score and its breakdown
• Direction of higher timeframe
• Number of signals today
• Last signal's entry / SL / TP

You can understand “the current state of this pair” just by looking at the chart.

Even when you’re not glued to the chart, opportunities arrive. SMC-Signal supports alerts for buy/sell signals and SMC elements (OB touch, FVG touch, BOS/CHoCH occurrence, Liquidity Sweep, etc.).

Also, there is wide customization for signal sensitivity, TP/SL calculation method, elements displayed, time-zone filtering, etc. By default, to keep the chart clean, only signals and TP/SL are shown.

One of the most concerning things about signal tools is repainting (arrows disappearing or moving afterward). I’ll be honest here.

Even in MT5 development, I spent the most time on this. Whether you remove and reattach the indicator or change timeframes, past signals should reproduce at the same positions/values as in MT4, and I verified this against past charts for peace of mind.

Functions, parameters, and signal logic are equivalent to the MT4 latest version (Ver1.06). MT4 users can migrate with the same settings unchanged.
