[Psychology of Cute] If you want to improve your trading performance, adopt a cat?
This time it's a discussion about "the psychology of cuteness."
Before important moments, it is said that seeing "cute" has a good effect.
Cute things may be used as emotional stimulants to elicit cautious behavior in specific situations such as driving or clerical work.
▼ Seeing cute things improves task performance
This is research from the Graduate School of Integrated Science at Hiroshima University.
Participants perform a task of picking up a small toy with forceps.
They do this task twice, and during the breaks between runs, they arrange seven pictures of animals in any order they like.
As a result of the experiment, viewing pictures of animals was found to improve task performance.
‘Young animals (puppies and kittens) and ‘adult animals’ also show differences.
When viewing pictures of young animals, the rate of improvement in performance is +44%
When viewing pictures of adult animals, the rate of improvement in performance is +12%
The results indicate that after looking at cute images, participants performed tasks requiring concentrated attention more carefully.

It is interpreted as a narrowing of attention resulting from the positive emotions triggered by cuteness.
The emotion of “cute” is importantis, isn’t it.
In the field of positive psychology, there is a notion that happiness leads to success rather than success leading to happiness.
This means happy emotions boost performance.
▼ The Principle of Positive Feelings
The principle of positive feelings also applies to your pets.
Animals make you feel at your best.
When you feel affection for your pet, that loving state brings even more good things into your life.
What a wonderful gift that is.
