Dabiki, Takaaki 'Weekly Gold Price Outlook' July 6, 2026 issue
Taikou Kabumaki Akira, President and CEO of Investment Daily News Co., Ltd., pioneer of astrology-based market analysis and leading figure in financial cycle analysis, writes a weekly report on the outlook for gold prices.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Last week's NY gold price (near-month) closed at $4,125.70, up $29.40 from the previous week. Although briefly breaking below $4,000 intraday, the close value appears to have held. This could be a bullish trigger, but not a confirmed factor.
In the weekly chart, the low from Oct–Nov 2022 is defined as the bottom of the previous eight-year cycle, from which a new eight-year cycle has started. The all-time high of $5,626.80 in January 2026 is judged to be the ceiling of at least a four-year cycle. Currently, we view the market as descending toward a four-year cycle bottom, which is expected to form around October–November 2026, plus or minus eight months.
Once bottomed out, a rebound toward the second half of the four-year cycle is anticipated.
The gains in the first half of the four-year cycle are about $4,000. The 38.2%–61.8% retracement is shown on the chart as indicated.
