Kabuto Takao, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Investment Daily News, a pioneer in astrology-based market analysis and a leading figure in financial cycle analysis, writes a weekly report on gold market outlook.

Last week's New York gold market (near month) continued to fall, closing at 4,096.30 USD, down 149.60 from the prior week. There are still no signs of a stabilizing bottom, and it appears poised to break below the important 4,000 level.


Last week's bullish trigger did not materialize. In other words, “the previous low was June 11 at 4,046.2, a seven-month low. It marked the third low this year in February, March, and now again. The pattern has been a lower high/ lower low continuation, i.e., a bearish pattern, but to see a bullish trigger one would expect a break above the high of June 17, 4,382.13, without updating the June 11 low.” On the 24th last week, this low was breached, and the market remained soft this week, nearly falling below 4,000.


Last week's commentary was as follows.

“Unfortunately it briefly breached on the 19th. It could be seen as a pullback, but updating the June 11 low would again be bearish. However, based on the formations so far, there are patterns where after updating the low there is an immediate rebound, so a descending wedge cannot be ruled out. The outlook looks somewhat uncertain, but as a medium- to long-term view, it remains bullish,” this forecast seemed premature. The bearish stance continues.
