【6/26 USD/JPY Scalping Points】
Thanks for your hard work! Let's go with USD/JPY scalping again tonight!
First, here is today’s Tokyo time overview.
Currently USD/JPY is around 161.65. This morning it started around 161.75, but during Tokyo time it was near 162 after the overseas session last night and, due to intervention concerns, the upside was capped, leading to a slightly bearish dollar. The attempt to reach 162 failed again, right?
Today seems likely to be soft due to the Nikkei’s sharp drop and weekend factors. USD/JPY is expected to transition to overseas time at roughly the same level as the morning.
Now, the points for USD/JPY scalping tonight.
● Movements around 16:00 London market open
● Movements around 22:00 New York market open (Dow opens at 22:30)
● Movements after the release of the “U.S. University of Michigan Consumer Confidence Index” at 23:00

Other notes…
・There will be important speakers during trading (23:30: Williams – President of the NY Fed; 24:30: Kashkari – President of the Minneapolis Fed)
・Be careful with headlines related to BOJ currency intervention

Tonight’s “1-minute chart scalping” will target movements around each market open plus the move after the 23:00 U.S. Michigan data release. For users of the “1-minute scalping club,” handling as per theory should be fine.
Also, the “15-minute chart scalping” which is short-selling focused could be favorable due to the week-end selling pressure following the last night’s 162 yen attempt. The entry point would be when it can be sold above around the mid-161s. The image is to execute short positions in small increments.
Now the overseas session will start soon!
Scalping tends to be perceived as having small target profits and thus continuous 24-hour opportunities, but that’s not the case. By targeting periods with relatively high volatility, you can significantly reduce trading difficulty.
The times I target are around the London market open and around the New York market open.
・London market open time (UTC: 16:00 in US daylight time / 17:00 in US standard time)
・New York market open time (UTC: 22:00 in US daylight time / 23:00 in US standard time)
Even right after U.S. data/events release, volatility increases and opportunities arise. However, in the first several minutes after the release, spreads can widen, so the rule is to enter only after the spreads return to normal.
Always check the U.S. data/event schedule in advance. Knowing when opportunities may come helps you accumulate profits efficiently.
Also, avoid positioning right before U.S. data/events. If you go against it, it can be disastrous. You can be taken to the stop-loss line in an instant. Careless mistakes are not allowed, absolutely.
The U.S. data/event schedule can be checked on the websites of brokers and FX brokers.
Of course there are other points besides the three above, but I’ve explained the essential points to keep in mind when scalping USD/JPY.

Actually… one of my trading methods, the “15-minute scalping,” is fully published for free. I hope it helps, even a little. (Completely free, you know.)

Also, on the following page I also publish my main trading method, the “1-minute scalping,” so if you’re interested please check it out. (Sorry… this one is paid though….)
If you’re aiming even higher, please consider it.
