Hello,lulu.fxmy name is.
I mainly do discretionary trading focused on GOLD (XAUUSD), and I am also taking on Fintokei.
This article is the “development story” of MT4 monitoring tool I madePROP GUARD. Before explaining the features, please let me writewhy I made it.
There is only one reason. In prop firm challenges, I have seen more than 100 people who wereblown up in these past few months.
And most of them were reacting in a way that could have been prevented.the way of blowing up that could have been prevented.
In the first place, I myself was on the side of blowing people up
I’m telling the story of building a tool with a sense of arrogance, but a while ago I was exactly someone who caused blow-ups.
One time, I lined up over 100 of my GOLD trades and tried to tally them seriously. The numbers that came out were fairly shocking.
- On Tuesdays and Thursdays I lost most of the profits
- The win rate was lowestduring the 10 o’clock hour, and I entered the most during that time
- On days with momentum, I often opened all positions at almost the same moment, and when they went wrongI got hit all at once.
At that time, I did notrealize any of this.
Even when in a drawdown, I thought “it’s still okay.” I would sleep with SL forgotten and wake up to a pale chart in the morning. I never looked at “how dangerous my account was at this very moment”in numerical terms.
I relied on a feeling that it would probably be okay, and I got burned many times because of that.
Observing 100 people taught me that “this isn’t a personality issue”
Putting myself on the shelf, I started observing other traders. On X and Discord I kept following reports like“Disqualified”, “Account frozen” for over 100 cases.
Then, the places blowing up clustered into surprisingly the same few patternsa handful of patterns.
- After a winning streak, doubling the lot size, getting wiped out in one go
At first I thought “everyone is careless.” But I was that person too. Gradually I began to thinkthis isn’t a matter of will or character.
What was common wasn’t weakness, but“not seeing how close one is to disqualification on the screen right now”.
Humans cannot manage what they cannot see. It’s the same as nobody saves with a wallet that doesn’t show balance.
I tried commercially available tools one by one
“Then I should create a state where the danger is visible.” So I first searched for ready-made tools. It’s easier to use something if it exists before I build it myself.
But surprisingly, there weren’t many good options.
- Drawdown monitoring indicator: Drawdown is visible, but only that. SL alerts are separate, lot sizing is another tool.Excel manual management: Can do for the first three days. But,by the fourth day updates stop. Not usable during trades.Consistency calculation: Web calculators exist. But you have to open another tab, and you don’t look at it during trading. In the end, there was no tool that could show all the risks of the account on one chart.Launching three or four scattered tools and comparing them makes people stop looking. That’s how I was. What I finally did was to consolidate the scattered information into a single panel. So I decided to create a single “panel” for people who are sufferingIf it doesn’t exist, I have to make it.What I aimed for wasa single HUD where traders struggling with prop can see at a glance how much more they can lose before disqualification in their account—that is, one HUD.Honestly, my motivation was not to see anyone else blow up like the old me.From here (continue) to be released:Functions I added to PROP GUARD and what each one answers about which failure“which failure” it answersWhy I focused on“an unorderable tool”insteadThe process of confirming regulations with Fintokei support(It is not “officially approved”)How to obtain the free LITE version.

If it doesn’t exist, I have to make it.
What I aimed for wasa single HUD where traders struggling with prop can see at a glance how much more they can lose before disqualification in their account—that is, one HUD.
Honestly, my motivation was not to see anyone else blow up like the old me.
