[6/24 Dollar-Yen Scalping Points]
Thanks for your hard work! Now, let's go with dollar-yen scalping again tonight!
First, here is today's Tokyo time overview.
Currently, the dollar-yen is around 161.60. This morning it started around 161.50, but during Tokyo time it moved with little momentum.
Although it approached around 162 yen at the start of the week, after being pushed back, momentum has again become scarce. I think it will move if the scenario of a dollar-buying environment supported by expectations of U.S. rate hikes, along with the government and Bank of Japan’s intervention warnings, collapses somewhere... let's wait for the timing.
European and London players are starting to make a shy advance toward 162 yen—what do you think?
Dollar-yen is likely to hand over to overseas trading near the morning levels.
Now, the points for tonight's dollar-yen scalping.
● Movements around the 16:00 London market open
● Movements around the 22:00 New York market open (Dow opens at 22:30)
● Movements after the 23:00 release of the “U.S. New Home Sales”

Other notes…
・Be careful of headlines related to U.S.-Iran
・Be careful of headlines related to BoJ FX intervention

Tonight’s “1-minute chart scalping” is not highly attention-grabbing aside from moves near each market open, but the moves after the 23:00 “U.S. New Home Sales” release could be the target points. For users of the “1-minute Scalping Club,” if you follow the theory you should be fine. Also, if spikes appear, it’s OK to pick them up gradually with long positions.
Also, the “15-minute scalping” that focuses on shorts alone currently has no materials to break through 162 yen, so trying it is also an option. The entry point would be when you can sell at levels above around 161 yen mid. However, the dollar-buying environment continues, so think of rotating in small increments.
With that, overseas time will start shortly!
Because scalping aims for small profit margins, it’s easy to think there are 24-hour opportunities, but that is not the case. By targeting periods with relatively high volatility, you can significantly reduce the difficulty of trading.
The times I target are around the London market open and around the New York market open.
・London market open time (16:00 during U.S. daylight time / 17:00 during U.S. standard time)
・New York market open time (22:00 during U.S. daylight time / 23:00 during U.S. standard time)
Volatility and opportunities increase immediately after U.S. data/events are released. However, during the first few minutes after the release, spreads may widen, so always enter after they return to normal spreads as a rule.
Always check the U.S. data/event schedule in advance on the websites of brokers and FX providers. Knowing the times when opportunities will come allows you to accumulate profits efficiently.
Also, absolutely avoid positioning right before U.S. data/events. If you go against the trend, you won’t be able to look at yourself in the mirror. You can be taken to the loss line in an instant. Careless mistakes are not allowed, absolutely.
U.S. data/event schedules can be checked on各証券会社・FX業者のWEBサイト等. (This line seems to reference where to check; keep as is in translation.)
Of course, there are many other points besides the three above, but I’ve talked about the minimum points you should keep in mind when scalping the dollar-yen.

Actually… one of my trading methods, “15-minute chart scalping,” is fully released for free. I hope it can be of some help (completely free).
