RSI andMACD, stochastic, etc.—when you realize that you can’t win by using only one oscillator indicator, what do traders try next?
It is a method where you display several oscillators and only enter when two (or2 or3) signals occur simultaneously.
In the real world,FX教材などでも, you often see “Two signals from XX and YY appear, hot!” such techniques circulating. It may seem that adding filters can help avoid false signals.
Whether this will work well is……unfortunately, success is very limited when it happens. Even adding tools doesn’t make you win because there are two clear problems.
■Problem1: Similar calculation methods
Many oscillator indicators fundamentally compute “overbought/oversold” using price data over a certain past period (such as closing prices), and their calculation methods are similar.
In other words,2 two oscillators signaling at the same time does not mean the market basis has2 times stronger. “Because they use similar formulas, it’s natural that signals tend to appear on the same bars.” You must break out of the misconception that simultaneous signals = high win rate.
■Problem2: Lack of fundamental logic
This is a fundamental matter: unless you understand the essential basic logic of what waveform an oscillator makes and how market energy changes, no matter how many tools you stack, you will not derive a reliable signal.
Even if you multiply another tool’s zero by zero you get zero.
If you can’t win, please stop displaying three or four oscillators under the chart and waiting for complex double or triple signals. Rather than being driven by multiple superficial oscillators, focus on a single oscillator, master its effective use and essence, which is much more efficient and the fastest way to use your time.
