[6/10 USD/JPY Scalping Points]
Thank you for your hard work! Now let's do USD/JPY scalping again tonight!
First, from today's Tokyo time overview.
Currently USD/JPY is around 160.35. This morning it started around 160.30, but during Tokyo time the mood is all about waiting, as the U.S. CPI data is to be released tonight. If the numbers are strong, expectations for a U.S. rate hike may rise, which is noteworthy.
However, even with last Friday's strong U.S. employment data, USD/JPY did not rise much, so the market seems to be quite wary of forex intervention.
In terms of shaking off speculators and suppressing volatility, I wonder if the government's and BOJ's forex interventions have been successful so far...
USD/JPY seems ready to hand off to overseas trading around the morning level.
Now, the USD/JPY scalping points for tonight.
● Movements around 16:00 London market open
● Movements after the U.S. CPI release at 21:30
● Movements around the New York market open (Dow opens at 22:30)

Other notes…
・Be mindful of headlines related to U.S.-Iran
・Be mindful of headlines related to BOJ forex intervention

Tonight’s “1-minute chart scalping” will target moves around market opens plus after the 21:30 U.S. CPI release. For users of the “1-minute chart scalping club,” follow the standard approach and you should be fine. Come on, move already.
Also, the “15-minute chart scalping,” which is short-selling focused, is in a cautious mood tonight ahead of the U.S. CPI release, so there’s no need to force positions. Tonight I’d like to focus solidly on “1-minute chart scalping.”
Now the overseas session will start shortly!
Scalping profits tend to be small, so one might think there are 24-hour opportunities, but that is not the case. By aiming for periods with higher volatility, you can drastically reduce the difficulty of trading.
The time frames I target are around the London market open and around the New York market open.
- London market open time (16:00 during U.S. daylight time / 17:00 during U.S. standard time)
- New York market open time (22:00 during U.S. daylight time / 23:00 during U.S. standard time)
After the release of U.S. indicators or events, volatility remains high and opportunities are plentiful. However, in the minutes immediately after the release, the spread may widen, so it is essential to wait until it returns to normal spreads before taking a position.
Always check the U.S. indicators and events schedule in advance on the websites of each brokerage or FX provider. Knowing when opportunities will arise helps you accumulate profits efficiently.
Also, avoid positioning immediately before U.S. indicators or events. If you go against the trend, you could be hit hard. Careless mistakes are not acceptable, absolutely not.
The U.S. indicators and events schedule can be checked on the websites of each brokerage or FX provider.
Of course there are other points beyond these three, but I’ve talked about the minimum points you should keep in mind when scalping USD/JPY.

In fact, one of my trading methods, “15-minute chart scalping,” is completely open for free. I hope it can be of some help (completely free, by the way).

If you’re aiming even higher, please consider it.
