Prologue
“Again, I was betrayed.” That anger was the beginning of it all
Let me begin with a disclaimer. I was a “victim” of FX tools.
When I was obsessed with scalping gold (XAUUSD), I bought several arrow-signal indicators. Each boasted “high precision” and “no repaint,” yet when applied to the chart, a stunning reality unfolded — past signals were in perfect places, but real-time signals disappeared one by one.
When I realized that fact, something inside me burned.
Not anger, not sadness. It was the pure competitive spirit of an engineer. “Then I will create something genuine.”
Chapter 01
Analyzing the “Monster” called Gold
XAUUSD is an alluring currency pair. Its daily moves can span hundreds of pips, making large profits possible with scalping. But it also comes with many traps: geopolitical risk, sudden moves in the dollar index, and low-liquidity timeframes — these distort traders’ judgments.
I began by thoroughly studying gold’s price action. Pattern analysis on short-term intervals M1–M5, volatility distribution by session, optimal TP/SL ratios. The data I dumped into Excel soon exceeded thousands of rows.
- Three sessions (Tokyo, London, NY) have clearly different price-action characteristics
- Signals with sudden volume spikes have markedly higher reliability
- Entries against higher-timeframe trends drastically reduce win rate
- Fixed TP/SL cannot adapt to volatility changes and becomes a source of drawdown
These insights would come to underlie later development and design.
Chapter 02
Turbulent development — from “moving” to “winning”
Developing in MQL5 was, in short, a quagmire. Each added feature broke something else. Optimizing parameters led to overfitting to past data. A brilliant result in the Strategy Tester could behave differently on real charts — repeatedly.
Phase 1 — Foundation
Core logic design. Fusion of a composite oscillator and candlestick patterns. Built from the ground up with a no-repaint design principle. This alone consumed weeks.
Phase 2 — Filter implementation
Sequential implementation of higher-timeframe trend filter, volume filter, and 3-session filter. The hardest part was ensuring each filter remained independent and did not interfere with others.
Phase 3 — Auto-adjustment of TP/SL
Implemented volatility-linked automatic TP/SL calculation. Added upper and lower limiters to prevent losses from outliers.
Phase 4 — UI/UX design
Implemented a real-time information panel with drag-movable capability. Real-time win rate, RR ratio, and profit in pips displayed on the chart — a surprisingly complex implementation.
Phase 5 — Final verification
Localized all parameters to Japanese and refined the design for beginners. Verified identical behavior in real-time and historical tests to ensure product quality.

I created this indicator not to sell it. At first, I made it for my own use. I simply wanted trustworthy signals every time I opened my chart in the morning.
However, when I saw the finished product, I felt I should not hoard it. There are so few truly useful tools for gold scalping in the market. I finally felt I could give to my past self, who felt betrayed, something truly valuable.
