[6/4 Dollar/Yen Scalping Points]
Good work everyone! Let’s do USD/JPY scalping again tonight!
First, the Tokyo session overview for today.
Currently, USD/JPY is around 159.85. This morning it started around 160.00, and during Tokyo time there were some swings due to headlines such as “Israel and Lebanon reached a ceasefire agreement” and “BOJ considering a rate hike this month (possible additional hike within the year),” but the main trend remains dollar buying and yen selling. It dips and then returns quickly… It rebounds in an instant even when it drops.
That said, around the 160 level there is a strong sense of potential intervention in the FX market, so there isn’t a strong flow pushing prices up... with tomorrow’s U.S. employment data in view, will traders wait-and-see? They want volatility...
USD/JPY is likely to hand over to the overseas session at roughly the morning level.
Now, the points for tonight’s USD/JPY scalping.
● Movement around the London market open at 16:00
● Movement after the release of the U.S. initial jobless claims at 21:30
● Movement around the New York market open (Dow opens at 22:30)

Other notes…
・Important officials’ remarks during trading (23:00 “Remarks by Federal Reserve Vice Chair Lael Brainard”)
・Be mindful of headlines related to U.S.-Iran
・Be mindful of headlines related to BOJ FX intervention

Tonight’s “1-minute chart scalping” will target moves around market opens plus the moves after the 21:30 U.S. initial jobless claims release. For users of the “1-minute scalping club,” handle according to the usual theory, no problem. Also, let’s look forward to 23:00 “Remarks by Fed Vice Chair Lael Brainard.”
Also, the short-strategy “15-minute scalping” remains in a dollar-buying, yen-selling trend; even if headlines push it down, it rebounds instantly, so there’s no need to force positions. Tonight I’d like to focus on the solid approach of “1-minute scalping.”
And soon the overseas session will begin!
Because scalping profits are small, one might think there are 24-hour opportunities, but that’s not the case. Targeting periods with higher volatility can significantly reduce the difficulty of trading.
The timeframes I target are around the London Open and around the New York Open.
・London Open time (16:00 during U.S. daylight time / 17:00 during U.S. standard time)
・New York Open time (22:00 during U.S. daylight time / 23:00 during U.S. standard time)
Even immediately after U.S. indicators/events, volatility rises and opportunities increase. However, in the minutes immediately after an announcement, spreads can widen, so always enter after they return to normal spreads.
Please check the U.S. indicators/events schedule in advance on the websites of each broker or FX provider. Knowing the times when opportunities will come helps accumulate profits efficiently.
Also, avoid positioning immediately before U.S. indicators/events. If you move against the trend, you’ll be in trouble. You can be taken to your loss limit in an instant. Carelessness is not allowed, absolutely.
The U.S. indicators/events schedule can be checked on each broker’s or FX provider’s website.
Of course there are many other points besides the three above, but I’ve talked about the minimum points you should keep in mind when scalping USD/JPY.

Actually, one of my trading methods, “15-minute scalping,” is completely free to view. I hope it can be of some help (completely free).
