【5/22 Dollar/Yen Scalping Points】
Thank you for your hard work! Let's do more Dollar/Yen scalping tonight as well!
First, the overview during Tokyo hours today.
Currently, the Dollar/Yen is around 159.10. This morning it started around 158.90, but during Tokyo hours it remains in a wait-and-see mood as Iran awaits a response to proposals regarding a combat halt and the freeing of the Strait of Hormuz, following yesterday's stance.
With the U.S.-Iran situation entering its final phase, there may be a slight tendency to dollar selling, but moves are limited. From the morning level, it is expected to advance about 20 pips as it hands over to overseas trading.
Next Monday is Memorial Day and the New York market is closed; there may be dollar-selling position adjustments before the long holiday, but… what do you think?
Now, the points for tonight's dollar-yen scalping.
● Movements around the London market open around 16:00 local time
● Movements around the New York market open (Dow opens at 22:30)
● Movements after the US University of Michigan Consumer Confidence Index release at 23:00
—–
Other notes..
・There may be remarks from important figures during trading (23:00 comments from Federal Reserve Governor Waller)
・Pre-holiday in the New York market
・Be cautious of headlines related to the US-Iran situation
・Be cautious of headlines related to BOJ currency intervention

Tonight's “1-minute chart scalping” is likely to target moves around each market open in addition to the moves after the 23:00 US Michigan Consumer Confidence Index release. For users of the “1-minute Scalping Club,” following the theory should pose no problem. There is also some期待 for comments from Fed Governor Waller at 23:00.
Additionally, the short-only “15-minute scalp” is worth aiming for, hoping for position-adjusting dollar selling before the New York market holiday. The entry point would be when you can sell around the 159 yen level, perhaps.
With that, overseas time is about to start!
Scalping tends to be thought of as having small profit margins and thus seeming like there are 24 hours of opportunities, but that is not the case. By targeting periods with relatively high volatility, you can significantly reduce the difficulty of trading.
The timeframes I target are around the London market open and around the New York market open.
・London market open time (16:00 US daylight time / 17:00 US standard time)
・New York market open time (22:00 US daylight time / 23:00 US standard time)
Even immediately after US releases or events, volatility increases and opportunities rise. However, in the few minutes right after the release, spreads can widen, so it is essential to enter only after returning to normal spreads.
Always check the US indicators and event schedule in advance. Knowing the times when opportunities will come helps you accumulate profits efficiently.
Also, positioning immediately before US indicators/events should be avoided at all costs. If you go against it, it can be disastrous. You must avoid careless mistakes.
US indicators and events schedules can be checked on the websites of each brokerage or FX dealer.
Of course there are many other points aside from the three above, but I’ve shared the minimum points you should keep in mind when scalping the USD/JPY.
Also..
Actually… I have completely released one of my trading methods, the “15-minute Scalping,” for free. I hope it will be a helpful reference (totally free).
