If you want to succeed, copy it! You don’t need your own ideas! Success is brought about entirely by the mold/template!
"I don't need my own thoughts! What matters is to fit into the mold! All success is brought about by the mold!"
This is a line from the manga "Investor Z".
Since it was adapted into a drama as well, many of you might know it.
In the manga, there is a high school girl who learns Warren Buffett's investing and increases her assets.
"So you studied stocks on your own and increased your assets, right?"
"I thought... "
"I simply followed Mr. Buffett's teachings faithfully."
Friends remark on how she imitates Buffett so thoroughly.
"It's amazing that you can be so convinced to that extent, I think."
"I can't go that far."
"I feel like my own individuality will be lost..."
"I want to value my own way of thinking as well."
"I don't need my own thoughts!"
"Huh...?"
"They say you should find and nurture a child's individuality, but that's a lie."
"What matters is to fit into the mold!"
"All success is brought about by the mold!"
"If you have no standards within yourself, your axis will waver, you won't determine direction for a long time, and you'll wander aimlessly."
"To move forward properly, first learn from the wisdom of predecessors, absorb the molds of success."
"If the mold is established, growth is fast!"
"As you grow, individuality will follow. In the world of scholarship there are proverbs like this."
"Ride on the shoulders of giants!"
"Even Isaac Newton himself spoke of this:
'If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.'
"Even a genius cannot suddenly come up with an innovative idea!"
"After building on previous research and the teachings of predecessors, you must demonstrate your own individuality—this is the key to success."
DMM Securities conducts various businesses, but when starting a new venture, they begin by mimicking and then succeeding.
There are stories where real people are interviewed and turned into manga, and the manga "Investor Z" is interesting.","
Even Horiemon, Hoji, appears in the manga and can be educational to some.
And the manga's original author, Mr. Mita, appeared in Horibe’s channel videos.
"Don't be obsessed with originality!!"
I think this also applies to trading.
Some people think they must do original things themselves.
"Trading must be done with your own originality."
There is a cult of originality.
Horiemon: "All originality starts with imitation"
Horiemon: "If there are people like Nishino that I can imitate, I copy their methods immediately"
"First imitate using the same method"
"Isn't that how studying works?"
Nishino: "Art is the same"
Horiemon: "First, you must imitate the predecessors' cases before you can move on"
"If you try to create originality without having the basics, it won't go well"
I wrote about this in another article →A quick way to become a winning trader
②Make an existing method your own.
This is the quickest way.
I will introduce a book I recently read.
'The World’s Best Pro Gamer’s Ways of Working
To Win Continuously: WillpowerBy Daigo Umehara.
Even if you become the world’s best at games and win championships in Japan, there was a time when there were no professional gamers and you couldn’t live off gaming alone despite being skilled.
There was a period when he stepped back from games and entered the world of mahjong.
In three years, he reached the top level in mahjong.
People might think excelling in mahjong would require talent, but he is someone who works extremely hard.
And the important thing is"He was making the right efforts"。
I think this was the key to his victory.
I will quote from the book. The following.
What I learned from mahjong
When I started to play seriously, it took three years to reach the top of mahjong, and I think it was because I imitated how strong players played.
He draws and discards tiles. Watching that motion continuously was, in a sense, a form of checking the answer.
Whether it matched my own thoughts or not, I could confirm after every move.
Because I studied earnestly, I understood the reasons for discards. Sometimes it was what I expected, other times I realized there was another way.
If I couldn't understand the intention, I would ask, "Did you cut that tile for this reason?"
And when I heard "Yes," I confirmed that my thinking had been correct.
As I copied someone better than me, the technique gradually became my own.
Only after reaching the same level as the person I copied should I bring out my own style.
If you want to acquire something, you should learn basics carefully and cautiously.
If you start with a half-baked personal method or practice freely, you'll end up with a shallow finish in the end.
I think results came because I made the right efforts.
At first, imitate.
There was also this story.
Mr. Umehara"Just like in gaming, in mahjong at first I hardly won at all.
My own thinking was off the mark to begin with."
This is the same in trading.
People who can't win in trading are doing the wrong things.
No matter how much you努力, you won't get results if you're off the mark.
So, it's better to imitate the correct methods and winning ways first, right?
Don't think by yourself.
Mr. Umehara also started by thinking himself, but he couldn't win at first.
You can't win against someone who cannot be beaten.
So I changed my approach.
In an Ikebukuro mahjong parlor, there was a person T who was clearly stronger than me at mahjong.
I decided to cling to that person and steal as much as I could.
I asked for permission to watch and began to study their playing style relentlessly.
Watching for ten hours while standing was truly tough.
Most of my part-time colleagues watched a slightly better player's moves for about ten minutes and then returned to their work saying, "He's really strong," or "Amazing,"
but I kept watching intently.
"Why do people stop watching?"
Even though I knew they were far better, they didn't try to use it as reference.
I think their level of serious commitment, passion, and motivation toward mahjong was low.
When I was playing mahjong myself, I would go around asking who was the strongest person at the mahjong parlors, and learn from those people who everyone said were strong.
>"Why do people stop watching?"
>Even though it's clear I'm better than them, they don't try to use it as reference.
>If you want to acquire something, you should learn basics carefully and cautiously.
>If you start with a half-baked personal method or practice freely, you’ll end up with a shallow finish.
There are some diligent people who work with their own methods, though.
No matter how much you努力, incorrect things won’t yield results.
If you want to succeed, copy!
I don’t need my own thoughts! All success is brought about by the mold!
To move forward properly, first learn from the wisdom of predecessors and absorb the molds of success
If the mold is established, growth will be fast!

First, imitate using the same method
First imitate the predecessors' cases before moving on
Trying to create originality without having the basics leads to failure (it won’t go well)
The fool learns from experience; the wise learns from history.
Only fools believe they learn from their own experiences. I, rather, prefer to learn from others' experiences from the start to avoid my own mistakes.

Let us learn from history, learn from the predecessors. Let us become wiser.
