April US PPI for the month surprised to the upside, USD/JPY extends gains for a third day.

Tokyo time, USD/JPY was range-bound around the mid-to-upper 157s with no clear direction. In European hours, USD/JPY continued to trade in a range around the upper 157s.157円台後半で揉み合い継続。NY時間、4月米PPI0.5％に対し1.4％、前年比予想4.8％に対し6.0％と大幅上振れ。また、食品とエネルギーを除くコア指数も前月比予想0.3％に対し1.0％、前年比予想4.3％に対し5.2％と強い内容となると、米10年債利回りが昨年6月以来約11カ月ぶりの高水準まで上昇し、ドル円は157.92円まで上昇。
