[4/27 USD/JPY Scalping Points]
Thank you for your hard work! Alright, let's do USD/JPY scalping again tonight!
First, from today's Tokyo time overview.
Currently USD/JPY is around 159.25. This morning it started around 159.50, but in the early Tokyo session the peace talks between the US and Iran, which were planned for the weekend, did not take place due to widening gaps between the two countries, making for a slightly dollar-bullish start to the week.
However, given Iran’s willingness to continue negotiations, a safe-haven dollar rally is unlikely to progress, and we are likely to hand off to overseas trading with about a 25-pip drop from the morning level.
European and London players are selling, right? Still, the market is largely waiting for headlines related to the US-Iran situation, so moves should be limited. Expect choppiness…
Now, here are the USD/JPY scalping points for tonight.
● Moves around 16:00 London market open
● Moves around 22:00 New York market open (Dow opens at 22:30)

Other notes…
・Be mindful of headlines related to the US-Iran situation
・Be mindful of headlines related to BOJ intervention

Tonight’s “1-minute chart scalping” has no major US indicators or events on the schedule, so there’s no particular material driving the market. The key moves should come around each market open. For users of the “1-minute chart scalping club,” following the theory should be fine. Tonight too, the main driver of price movement is likely headlines related to the US-Iran situation.
Also, the short-only “15-minute chart scalping” tends to be in a wait-and-see mood while awaiting headlines about the US-Iran situation, so there’s no need to force positions. Tonight I plan to focus on the “1-minute chart scalping.” It’s the start of the week, so conservatism is wise!
With that, thank you again for tonight!
Because the profit per scalp is small, it’s easy to think there are opportunities 24 hours a day, but that’s not the case. Targeting times with higher volatility significantly lowers the difficulty of trading.
The times I target are around the London market open and around the New York market open.
・London market open time (16:00 during US daylight saving / 17:00 during US standard time)
・New York market open time (22:00 during US daylight saving / 23:00 during US standard time)
After US data or event releases, volatility remains high and opportunities are plentiful. However, in the first few minutes after the release, spreads may widen, so the rule is to enter only after they revert to normal.
Please always check the US data and event schedules in advance on the websites of each brokerage or FX provider. Knowing when opportunities will arise helps you accumulate profits efficiently.
Also, absolutely avoid positioning immediately before US data or events. If you go against the trend, you’ll be in trouble in an instant. Careless mistakes are not allowed, absolutely not.
US data and event schedules can be checked on the websites of each brokerage and FX provider.
Of course there are other points beyond the three above, but I’ve explained the basics you should keep in mind when scalping USD/JPY.
