A trader with a unique background: after running a construction company, he briefly entered the Buddhist priesthood and underwent training. He entered the markets in earnest in 2015 and now mainly trades gold. Highly proficient in programming, he developed the original ‘tundere’ series—proprietary tools that embody SMC (Smart Money Concepts) to decipher large investors’ order flows. He blends a CEO’s bird’s-eye perspective with the mental discipline cultivated through monastic training in his trading.

An unconventional trader appears: nao, former business owner and former monk
| Hello. I’m Hayakawa from GogoJungle, Inc. Today, I’ll be speaking with nao, a trader with a unique background—he managed a construction company, began investing in 2015, and at one point entered Buddhist orders to serve as a monk. |

Business, Buddhism, and investing—how an unusual background shapes the trader’s true face
| I understand that while running several corporations, you also spent a period in the world of Buddhist monks—you entered the Buddhist path, so to speak. |

| nao |
| Yes, that’s right—this was in my early thirties. I was very interested in it. My parents were strongly opposed, but my motto is to do what I want to do, so I pushed through and entered training. |
| A business owner who became a monk—this reminds me of Kazuo Inamori, the founder of Kyocera. When did you start investing? |

| While running my business, I began taking it seriously around 2015. Actually, before that, during the Lehman Shock, I dabbled a bit in FX, but I took heavy losses in the crash and stepped away for a while. |
| I see. So after returning, you spent about ten years working diligently and built your current style. |

From simple “lines” to “zones”: incorporating the big players’ perspective with SMC
| I’d like to ask about the “tundere” tools you developed. What logic are they based on? |
| Hayakawa |
| nao |
| Basically, they incorporate the perspectives of large investors to identify the market, such as SMC (Smart Money Concepts) and ICT,and apply those ideas. |
| SMC, right? It’s been getting attention recently. Specifically, how do you interpret charts with it? |
| Hayakawa |

In the past, like line traders, people mainly used “lines”to aim for bounces, but recently the view of“zones”has become more common.
Iidentify those zones and consider entrieswith the image of “scattering” positions within them. |
| So rather than focusing on single points, you view the price ranges where large orders come in as zones and deploy your strategy accordingly. |

“tundere” and “tundereR”—strategies for averaging down and trend-following pyramiding
| You have “tundere” and the new “tundereR.” What’s the difference between the two? |
| Hayakawa |
| nao |
| The first tool I created, “tundere,” adds positions (averages down) from the entry point, takes small profits, and also targets large gains after reversals. |
| And in contrast, what features does the latest “tundereR” have? |
| Hayakawa |
| nao |
The “R” version pyramids in the trend direction. It aims to hold positions and significantly extend profits. |
So “tundere” uses a contrarian approach through averaging down, while “tundereR” rides trends to build profits. You can use them according to your strategy. |

A stress-free trading environment enabled by a GUI panel and smartphone integration
| Looking at the “tundereR” interface, the panel is very polished. |
| Hayakawa |
| nao |
| We’ve iterated through multiple versions, adopting a GUI panel to make it intuitive to use. It also includes robust features like “protected position.” |
| It also runs on MT5. How about operation when you’re out and about? |
| Hayakawa |
| nao |
| If you set up the tool at home or on a VPS, you only need to place entries from MT5 on your smartphone, and the tool will automatically operate according to your “tundere” settings. Advanced management is possible even when you’re away. |
| That’s wonderful. I hear MT5’s batch operation functions can also be completed on the panel, which should minimize operational lag. |
