A trader with a unique background who ran a construction company and at one point entered Buddhist monastic life to undergo training. He began engaging seriously with the markets in 2015 and now focuses primarily on gold. Proficient in programming, he developed the original ‘tundere’ series of tools that embody “SMC (Smart Money Concepts)” to decipher the order flow of large players. He blends a business owner’s bird’s-eye perspective with the mindset cultivated through monastic training in his trading.

Introducing nao, a unique trader who is a former business owner and former Buddhist monk
| Hello. I’m Hayakawa from GogoJungle, Inc. Today I’ll be speaking with nao, a trader with a unique background who ran a construction company, began investing in 2015, and at one point entered Buddhist monastic life as a monk. |

Business, Buddhism, and Investing—how a unique background shapes the real face of a trader
| I understand that while running several corporations, you also had a period when you entered the world of Buddhist monks. |

| nao |
| Yes, that’s right—when I was in my early 30s, I became very interested. My parents were strongly opposed, but my motto is to do what I want to do, so I pushed through and entered training. |
| A business owner becoming a monk brings to mind Kazuo Inamori, the founder of Kyocera. When did you start investing itself? |

| While running my business, I began taking it seriously around 2015. In fact, before that—during the Lehman Shock—I dabbled a bit in FX, but I took a big hit in the crash and stepped away for a while. |
| I see. From there, you spent about ten years steadily working on it and built your current style. |

From simple “lines” to “zones”: the SMC approach incorporating the perspective of big players
| I’d like to ask about the “tundere” series of tools you developed—what logic are they based on? |
| Hayakawa |
| nao |
| Basically, they incorporate the ideas of“SMC (Smart Money Concepts)” and “ICT”which identify the market from the perspective of large investors. |
| SMC—this method has been attracting attention recently. How do you view charts specifically? |
| Hayakawa |

In the past, like line traders, we mainly aimed for bounces off “lines,”but recently,“zones”have become the more common way to see things.
Iidentify those zones and then consider entries with the image of “scattering” positions within them,so to speak. |
| So rather than a single point, you view the price ranges where large orders come in as zones and deploy tactics strategically. |

“tundere” and “tundereR”—strategies of averaging down and trend-following pyramiding
| I understand you have both “tundere” and the new “tundereR.” What’s the difference between these two? |
| Hayakawa |
| nao |
| The first tool I made, “tundere,” averages down from the entry, taking small profits or aiming for large gains after a reversal. |
| And what are the features of the latest “tundereR”? |
| Hayakawa |
| nao |
The “R” version pyramids in the trend direction. It aims to hold positions and significantly extend profits. |
So “tundere” uses an averaging-down, counter-trend approach, while “tundereR” rides the trend to stack profits. You can use them selectively depending on your strategy. |

A stress-free trading environment enabled by a GUI panel and smartphone integration
| Looking at the “tundereR” interface, the panel is extremely refined. |
| Hayakawa |
| nao |
| We’ve iterated through versions to adopt a GUI panel for intuitive use. We’ve also enhanced features like the “protected position function.” |
| It also runs on MT5—how about operation when you’re out and about? |
| Hayakawa |
| nao |
| If you set up the tool at home or on a VPS, simply placing an entry from MT5 on your smartphone will have the tool automatically run according to your “tundere” settings. You can perform advanced operations even while away from home. |
| That’s excellent. Since MT5’s bulk operation features can also be done within the panel, operational lag should be minimized. |
