【4/7 USD/JPY Scalping Points】
Good work today! Alright, let's run USD/JPY scalping again tonight!
First, the Tokyo session overview for today.
Currently, USD/JPY is around 159.85. This morning it started around 159.70, but during the Tokyo session after just past 11:00 Japan time it rose to around 159.95 (today’s Asia high), then began to pull back slightly.
Nevertheless, with the deadline for a deal with Iran approaching and dollar buying amid geopolitical tensions, USD/JPY is holding firm, likely to edge about 0.15 yen higher from the early level as it transitions to overseas trading.
The deadline is 9:00 AM Japan time on the 8th. President Trump has stated that “the possibility of extending the deadline is very low,” but… what do you think? If negotiations require another extension, would that trigger a dollar-selling flow for now?
Now, the points for tonight’s USD/JPY scalping.
● Movements around the London market open near 16:00
● Movements after the U.S. durable goods data release at 21:30
● Movements near the New York market open (Dow open at 22:30)

Tonight’s “1-minute chart scalping” will target moves around each market open plus the moves after the 21:30 durable goods release. For users of the “1-minute scalping club,” proceed as the theory suggests. Also, headlines related to Middle East tensions require caution tonight.
Additionally, the “15-minute chart scalping” for shorts remains less favorable given widespread views that a difficult Iran deal could trigger safe-haven dollar buying, so there’s no point in forcing positions. Tonight I’d like to focus on “1-minute scalping.”
