Gold (XAU/USD) on April 3 faced selling pressure after the NFP release. Dollar demand strengthened, and gold moved from around $4,758 to about $4,633, a drop of roughly $125.
After the NFP release, direction stabilized, and it traded in a range around $4,600–$4,650. Ongoing wage inflation supported the dollar as Fed rate cuts moved to zero, leading to limited gold recoveries.
Tomorrow, 4/4 (Good Friday), Western and US bonds markets will be closed, resulting in significantly reduced liquidity. Today, with weekend/holiday approaching, trading activity was subdued. Both EAs plan to close out positions today and stop operation on 4/4.
