【4/3 USD/JPY Scalping Points】
Good work everyone! Alright, let's go with USD/JPY scalping again tonight!
First, from the overview during Tokyo time today.
Currently USD/JPY is around 159.60. This morning it started around 159.55, but during Tokyo time the market was largely closed for Good Friday in most countries outside Japan, and with the release of the U.S. Non-Farm Payrolls there was little movement and a wait-and-see mood.
It seems the overseas session will largely pick up the same level as the morning.
Even though it’s Good Friday, with the U.S. employment report to be released, the New York participants will likely join in. The period around the U.S. payrolls release may offer some tradable moves.
Now, the points for tonight’s USD/JPY scalping.

Other notes ..
・Major markets closed on Good Friday
・Be aware of headlines related to Middle East tensions
・Be aware of headlines related to BOJ forex intervention

Tonight’s “1-minute scalping” will focus on moves around the U.S. payrolls release since both the London and New York markets are closed, so the target moves may only be those around the release. For users of the “1-minute scalping club,” take care not to overexert yourself; if there isn’t a clear move, maybe take a break.
Also, the “15-minute scalping” for shorts isn’t advisable tonight since major markets are closed on Good Friday. I’d like to focus on the “1-minute scalping” tonight.
With that, I look forward to your guidance tonight as well!
Scalping tends to be thought of as having small profit targets, leading to a belief there are 24-hour opportunities, but that isn’t the case. By targeting periods with relatively higher volatility, you can significantly reduce the difficulty of trading.
The time windows I target are around the London market open and around the New York market open.
・London market open time (during U.S. daylight time 16:00 / during U.S. standard time 17:00)
・New York market open time (during U.S. daylight time 22:00 / during U.S. standard time 23:00)
Even immediately after U.S. data/events, volatility tends to rise and there are many opportunities. However, in the first few minutes after the release, spreads can widen, so the rule is to enter only after they return to normal spreads.
Always check the U.S. data/event schedule in advance on each brokerage or FX provider’s website. Knowing when opportunities will come allows you to accumulate profits efficiently.
Also, avoid positioning right before U.S. data/events. If you go against the trend, you’ll be caught off guard. You can be dragged to the stop-loss in an instant. Carelessness is not acceptable, absolutely.
The U.S. data/event schedule can be checked on the websites of each securities or FX broker.
Of course there are other points besides the three above, but I’ve explained the essential points to keep in mind when scalping USD/JPY.
