In 2017, he rode the crypto bubble and achieved the astounding result of growing 3 million yen into 120 million yen in just a year and a half. However, due to overconfidence afterward, he experienced a harsh setback, losing the majority of his assets. This downturn led him to realize the importance of defense—"rather than focusing on winning, how to avoid losing." He rigorously relearned technicals and fundamentals under a professional trader and has now established a stable trading style centered on scalping.

The mechanism of the “AI Filter” that evolves with the market
This time we’ll be asking about “AI Scalper GOLD,” developed by Leo.
A mechanism that analyzes and learns from past bars with AI, remembers losing conditions, and applies a filter—could you explain this in detail? |
| Hayakawa |
| Leo |
Sure. Typically, when creating indicators or EAs, we separate the entry trigger and the filter.
However, with a fixed filter, the gap between markets where you can win and where you can’t tends to become large, right? |
| Even if you set “TP fixed at 10 pips” and “SL fixed at 15 pips,” 10 pips can feel quite far in the Tokyo morning session. But after the London open, 10 pips can move in an instant. That kind of thing, right? |
| Hayakawa |
| Leo |
Exactly!
So in my indicator,we store chart patterns from the recent market where “if a signal had been issued under this condition, it would have lost,”as a mechanism.
When a similar pattern appears, the signal is blocked. As the market is constantly changing, it performs filtering tailored to the current conditions. |
| Looking at the backtests, I can see that the filter is applied quite heavily, suppressing unnecessary signals. |
| Hayakawa |
| Leo |
| Right. The entry logic itself is fairly simple, so without the filter, you’d get three to four times more signals and the number of losses would also increase. |
| So the indicator recalculates and learns from past bars at the moment it’s set? |
| Hayakawa |
| Leo |
| Yes, the moment you set it, it first performs learning for the period specified in the parameters, and then decides whether to issue signals based on that. |
High-precision entry decisions using the sub-chart
| So you’re using technical-analysis-generated signals, controlled by AI. Analyzing while looking at the chart also seems to enhance traders’ own learning. |
| Hayakawa |
| Leo |
| Exactly. Not limited to my tool, the shortest path to winning with indicators is to look at the signals and analyze them,in my opinion. |
| I see that a sub-chart is also displayed on the product page. Do you actually use this sub-chart in real trading as well? |
| Hayakawa |
| Leo |
| Yes, it comes with an original oscillator as a set. If you want to be more selective with signals, I highly recommend using it. |
| For beginners, judging the shape may be difficult, but it’s thoughtfully designed with the status displayed at the bottom left of the chart. |
| Hayakawa |
| Leo |
| Right. It might be a little hard to see, but when a signal appears near the bottom,“Entry OK”is displayed. If the oscillator also shows “OK” when a signal appears, you can consider it higher precision. |
| It also kindly shows states like “Watch” or “Caution.” |
| Hayakawa |
| Leo |
If it’s “Watch,” I think it’s fine to enter.
When “Caution” appears, even if there’s a signal, it may be better to pass for the moment or wait a bit and see if it moves the other way before entering. |
“Semi-automatic trading” that even busy part-time traders can practice
| I imagine you’re busy with your business as well. How do you usually use it? |
| Hayakawa |
| Leo |
I’m often working during the day, so I havepush notificationsfrom MT5 via “AI Scalper GOLD.”
When an entry signal notification comes in and I’m free, I check the chart on my phone and enter. |
| I see. Do the notifications also include the numerical entry points? |
| Hayakawa |
| Leo |
Yes. The notification contains text and numbers.
For example, it will notify you like “Long gold at 5000 dollars,” and you make your decision based on that. |
| In fact, “AI Scalper GOLD” also comes with a semi-automatic tool, right? |
| Hayakawa |
| Leo |
That’s right. It comes with a semi-discretionary EA.
If you set that EA on MT5, entries made from your smartphone are also reflected. If you preset the take-profit and stop-loss parameters, it will handle the rest automatically. |
That’s convenient!
So you install MT5 on your home PC or a VPS and run the three components:the signal tool, the semi-discretionary EA, and the original indicator, correct? |
| Hayakawa |
| Leo |
| Yes. You can leave your PC on, but considering safety, I recommend operating in a VPS environment. |
Does it work beyond gold? Application and results on other currency pairs
| Should we consider this tool basically dedicated to the 1-minute chart for gold? |
| Hayakawa |
| Leo |
| Basically, I think it’s best to use it on gold’s 1-minute chart, but there are quite a lot of adjustable settings. |
| So,for high-volatility instruments like silver or BTC,it might be relatively usable, right? |
| Hayakawa |
| Leo |
Exactly.
However, first get used to it on gold.
You need to adjust the parameters by currency pair, so once you get a feel for that, use backtesting, and if it looks viable, other pairs should be fully usable too. |
It controls “points where you shouldn’t enter” based on past bars,so it makes you want to try it on various financial instruments.
By the way, I heard that when turned into an EA for fully automated trading, it became about 7x in a year. Is that with compounding? |
| Hayakawa |
| Leo |
| No,simple interest,it is. We’re currently also running real forward on the EA. |
| 7x with simple interest,is it! That’s an amazing track record. |
| Hayakawa |
| Leo |
| “Then sell the EA!”—some may say, but with an EA, choosing a broker that provides a better environment becomes crucial. Since we can’t specify a broker, we’re holding off on selling the EA for now. |

Secrets to improving your trading and a message to readers
| Your insights are unique to someone like Leo, who has delved deeply into trading. Lastly, could you share a message with our readers? |
| Hayakawa |
| Leo |
| Sure. At first, I couldn’t win at all—I bought expensive materials, got scammed, and had a period where I lost a lot. |
| Leo |
| Even when using a signal tool,if you think hard about “the intention behind why this signal is appearing,”I believe your trading will improve. |
| So rather than just following signals, the path to improvement is to engage your mind and learn while practicing. |
| Hayakawa |
| Leo |
| Exactly. If you face the signals with a learning mindset and work diligently, I think you’ll become able to win. |
I felt that the filter mechanism controlling “you must not enter here” based on past bars is truly excellent.
Also in the sense of acquiring the techniques of a seasoned trader like Leo,“AI Scalper GOLD”is something I highly recommend you consider.
Thank you very much for this valuable and meaningful conversation. |
