Gold EA Today's Operating Results
Today, March 31, gold (XAU/USD) after yesterday’s sharp drop/rise beyond $240, settled into a range. From the Asia session to the European session, it traded within $4,420–$4,516, showing no strong directional move as yesterday.
Macro environment continues to cap gold’s upside. DXY (Dollar Index) has risen for five days around 100.5, and US 10-year yield remains high at 4.34–4.42%, unfavorable for gold. Meanwhile, the Middle East situation (US-Israel vs Iran) has entered its fifth week, providing downside support through geopolitical risk.
March monthly performance is heading toward roughly -14% to -15%, the worst monthly decline since October 2008. With the all-time high of $5,595 on Jan 29 still being adjusted, tonight at 23:00 US JOLTS job openings (Feb) will be released, potentially causing movement before and after the release.
Shinginryu realized +14,035 JPY today. As of 21:57, positions are zero and unrealized P/L is also ±0 JPY, entering the latter half of the NFP week in a clean state. Account balance is 1,170,878 JPY, rising from the previous day’s 1,151,644 JPY.
Looking at the chart, there was a moment when RSI(2) dropped to around 15.78. The logic of entering long as soon as the RSI threshold is reached and exiting on the subsequent rebound worked several times, leading to the +14,035 JPY realized profit.
CHAOS_GOLD_LISKOFF_MT5 realized +9,993 JPY today. As of 21:56, holding 1 position with unrealized profit of +2,794 JPY. Margin maintenance rate is 156,058.0%, maintaining a very safe financial state.
Tuesday is CHAOS_GOLD’s active day. Anomalies entries at 21:00, 18:00, and 4:00 Japan Time executed, and even in today’s range-bound market, +9,993 JPY realized profit was achieved. One position remains in profit; if closed as is, today’s profit should increase further.
Today’s combined realized profit from 2 EAs is +24,028 JPY. Following yesterday’s +72,180 JPY, this is the second consecutive day in positive territory, and the total account balance has risen to 2,302,626 JPY.
Shinginryu (M5 Scalping) has zero positions, a clean state, while CHAOS_GOLD (H1 Anomaly) remains in profit and will carry into tomorrow. The two EAs complement each other with different logics and timeframes, resulting in stable profits even in a range-bound market today.
Depending on tonight’s 23:00 US JOLTS job openings (Feb) results, there may be movement in tomorrow’s market. Previous figure was 6.946 million openings. A strong result could put pressure on the dollar and gold; a weak result could fuel expectations for rate cuts and drive gold higher.
This week’s main event is the US employment data (NFP) on 4/4 (Fri). This NFP coincides with Good Friday (US holiday), with NYSE and US Treasury markets closed and CME futures market the only active market for the release. There is a risk of extremely low liquidity and potentially larger price moves than usual.
