Looking at GOLD in the relation XAU/USD ≒ XAU/GBP × GBP/USD over 3 days

In the last three days, I repeated trades on XAUUSD using the same idea.
But I wasn’t just watching the XAUUSD chart alone.

First, please review my trade history this time. (Unit: Japanese Yen) Rather than the results themselves,pay attention to what perspective I used to view the marketso that the following explanations will be easier to understand.

Over these three days, what I did was: first confirm the direction on the higher time frame, then look for timing on the lower time frame. In other words, I first organized “which direction to move,” and then considered “where to enter.”

What’s important here is that just because the direction is visible, you shouldn’t jump in on the spot. Even if it looks like it’s going up, if it has already run, I won’t chase it. Conversely, if there is still room to enter, I will focus carefully on that particular moment.

In reality,I watched three relationships simultaneously: XAUUSD, GBPUSD, and XAUGBPtogether.

When you touch Gold, many people look at only XAUUSD to decide. Of course, that can still be enough to trade. However, looking at the three together makes relatively distorted pointsand temporary overreactionsmore visible.and temporary overshootseasier to identify.

What I found interesting this time is that things that are easy to miss when looking only at XAUUSD looked somewhat different when the three related pairs were lined up. The market may seem to move on its own, but in reality it exhibits distortions or biases within the context of other pairs.

Whether you notice that discrepancy can drastically change how you see XAUUSD itself. Over these three days I personally felt this difference even more clearly.
