【3/24 USD/JPY Scalping Points】
Thanks for your hard work! Alright, let's do USD/JPY scalping again tonight!
First, the Tokyo session overview for today.
Currently, USD/JPY is around 158.65. This morning it started around 158.40, but during the Tokyo session there was slightly more dollar buying.
Last night, after President Trump stated that he was "negotiating with Iran," crude oil prices plummeted and USD/JPY fell by more than 1 yen.
However, with Iran denying negotiations with the United States, crude oil prices and the dollar strengthened again, and we seem set to rise about 25 pips from the early levels as we transition to overseas trading hours.
If Iran denies negotiations with the United States, the dollar/yen recovering slowly might suggest market expectations for a ceasefire are spreading.
Now, here are tonight's USD/JPY scalping points.
● Movements around 16:00, London market open
● Movements around 22:00, New York market open (Dow opens at 22:30)
● Movements after the release of the US Manufacturing PMI/Non-Manufacturing PMI at 22:45

Other notes ..
・Be alert for headlines related to Middle East tensions
・Be alert for headlines related to BOJ forex intervention

Tonight's "1-minute scalping" will target moves around each market open, plus moves after the 22:45 PMI releases. For "1-minute scalping club" users, follow theory as usual and you should be fine. Also, please stay vigilant for headlines related to Middle East tensions tonight as well.
Also, the short-only "15-minute scalping" is showing heavier tops due to last night's sharp dollar drop, so attempting pullback selling is also an option. The entry point would be waiting for a little pullback, and ideally looking to sell around the 159 level.
With that, overseas trading hours are about to begin!
Because scalping targets small profit margins, it often seems there are 24-hour opportunities, but that is not the case. By targeting periods with relatively high volatility, you can significantly reduce the difficulty of trading.
The time bands I target are around the London market open and around the New York market open.
・London market open times (US daylight time 16:00– / US standard time 17:00–)
・New York market open times (US daylight time 22:00– / US standard time 23:00–)
Even immediately after US indicators/events are released, volatility tends to rise and opportunities increase. However, in the few minutes right after the release, spreads can widen, so the rule is to enter only after they return to normal spreads.
Please always check the US indicators/events schedule in advance. By knowing the times when opportunities will come, you can efficiently accumulate profits.
Also, absolutely avoid positions right before US indicators/events release. If you go against them, you won't be able to see clearly. You can be taken to the stop-loss level in an instant. Careless mistakes are not acceptable, absolutely not.
US indicators/events schedules can be checked on the websites of each brokerage and FX provider.
Of course there are many other points besides these three, but I have explained the essential points to keep in mind when scalping USD/JPY.

Actually, I am openly sharing one of my trading methods, the "15-minute scalp" entirely for free. I hope it is of some help. (Completely free.)
