If you have ever stepped into the world of FX automated trading (EA), you’ve probably had a similar experience at least once.
“I bought after seeing a beautiful upward-trending backtest image, but once I ran it on my own account, my funds melted away in no time.” “When I tried to contact support, the developer’s SNS account had vanished and they ran away.”
Unfortunately, this is the current realistic reality that pervades the FX automated trading scene. This time, as an EA developer, please allow me to share my true feelings and beliefs about why I continue to stream real-time live trading on YouTube every day.
The Pervasive Backtest Traps and the Dark Side of the FX Auto-Trading World
In today’s EA market, it is extremely risky to purchase a system based solely on backtest results. This is because if you engage in “over-optimization (curve fitting)” that tailor-fits parameters to a specific past period, anyone can easily fabricate a graph for the “strongest EA that has never lost.”
Many unscrupulous sellers use this crafted-looking data as a shield to sell their EAs. And when the real market (forward) proves ineffective and users start incurring losses, they offer excuses or, in the worst case, delete their accounts and disappear.
Over many years in EA development, I have felt strong frustration with this industry’s culture of “sell and be done with it” or “the deceiver wins.” If you’re truly building a capable system, you should openly show not only past data but also how you are actively trading in the current market.
A Transparent Choice: Real-Time Streaming That Leaves No Room for Deception
So the conclusion I arrived at was to publicly disclose everything about how my EA operates in an environment where deception is impossible: “reveal all, without hiding anything about how your EA runs.”

Still, I persist with this approach because I have absolute confidence that I am deploying a genuinely superior logic and that it is a real EA capable of growing funds over the long term.
