Last week, after the United States and Israel attacked Iran, financial and commodity markets opened with turbulence. The New York gold market, near-month, rebounded to $5,434.10 at the early part of the week, but did not surpass the all-time high (Jan 29) of $5,626.80, and closed the week at $5,158.70, down $89.20 from the previous week. The war was reported to be much longer than the period initially announced by Mr. Trump, possibly four to five weeks or longer. However, the situation does not appear to be resolved easily.
