Secret of risk management and selective entries
“Zero loss equals eventual ruin” is a doubt many traders have when they first see this system. That concern is valid.A system with no stop losses and no planning will inevitably fail.
However, the meaning of “zero stop losses” in this system is different.The design aims to not enter entries that would require stop losses in the first place.(Not that there are absolutely no stop losses.)
Ultra-strict entry conditions
Do not enter unless all conditions are met. Patience for opportunities is essential. This discipline eliminates the need for stop losses.
1:1 or better risk-reward
Before entering, calculate take-profit and risk. Typically, do not trade unless take-profit is at least equal to risk.
Set non-trading hours
Avoid entries during volatile transitions between London, NY, and Tokyo sessions.
Avoid around key indicators
Around CPI, employment stats, and Fed statements, generally avoid positions. Unpredictable moves are best avoided.
